Langkawi Holidays

Langkawi is an archipelago of over one hundred islands in Malaysia’s Andaman Sea. Of these islands, only two, Pulau Langkawi and Pulau Tuba are inhabited by any significant number of people. now a popular tourist destination with mostly upscale resorts like The Datai Langkawi and Berjaya Langkawi Beach and Spa Resort. Visitors choose from many beautiful natural sights, including the seven Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls and the islands’ tallest mountain, Gunung Raya. For a man-made treat, try the Langkawi Cable Car. The islands feature many pristine beaches, almost too many to count, which are always a hit with locals and visitors alike. Malaysian food is unique and available in ample quantities. Be sure to try a typical nasi lemak breakfast.

Langkawi is a backpackers paradise. The tropical climate and water sports facilities make it even more attractive for millennials. Not to forget the fact that it's a DUTY FREE ISLAND !!

A lot of asian families here, not a great party scene and the beach is overcrowded with activities but it can be nice and the Island has enough to do on it.

We really liked Langkawi and even ended up staying for longer that we had planned. It's a very small, family focused island. We found that shops closed early and there wasn't much to do but it was really nice for pretty beaches, scenery and a rest. The highlight for me was island hopping to Eagle Bay, Beras Behah Island and Pulau Dayang Bunting - The Isle of the Pregnant Maiden.

Langkawi is coined from the Malay words Lang and Kawi. Lang is a brown eagle and Kawi is a local manganese stone. The ancient fishermen must have seen eagles flying clutching the manganese stones! A giant monument of a brown eagle clutching the manganese stone greets all visitors to Langkawi near the Kuah Jetty.

A very chilled island. The beaches are nice but nothing out of this world. It is a good place to come and relax for a few days.

Langkawai is a beautiful and relaxing beach resort that easily accessible by ferry and plane. There are enough touristy spots to keep things interesting and the resorts to keep things relaxing.

I am surprised with all the traveling I have done, that I have not heard of it sooner. Maybe it is just as well the word has not gotten out that much. It is a wonderful hideßaßwaz!

One of the most laid back original places that hasn't been drowned out by capitalism yet.
