Do make a reservation as it is very crowded. The food is excellent but so loud you can't talk to your people.

Artichoke is no joke. Skinny fries. Grilled veg. Always feels like an enchanted experience.

If anything, Nick's tiny $5 glass of orange juice should inspire its patrons to start juicing at home.

Absolutely delicious. Usually, I would be hesitant to eat at locations close to the beach due to high prices and mediocre food. However, Nick's is not one of those places and it definitely lives up to its reputation.

First off, it's a small hip joint. No parking, check. Crazy menu, check. Lot of mirrors on the wall to make the place look larger than it actually is, check. Pretty much the place consists of a main bar in the center, a few tables around it, and 4 tables outside. Overall, it's a really small joint.

Onto the food:

Fried devil eggs-5/5- Man, people were not joking about these tasty morsels. It was delicious. I savored the bacon and crispiness of the batter.

Fried zucchini- 4/5- The batter here must be filled with cocaine because it is so addicting! However, the fries weren't my favorite because it kept on breaking apart.

Salmon sandwich-4/5- Greatly portioned and cooked to perfection. Very tangy and I love the thai cole slaw they use within the sandwich. The slaw gives it a sweet crunchy texture.

Overall, I loved the place. Luckily, I came during down hours or else I probably would have waited in line for a long time. Parking is an issue but there are plenty of parking lots and meters within the area. I definitely recommend trying out Nicks if you are in the area!

Another neighbor close to the Shack with delicious food in a contemporary setting. Try to sit outside and watch everyone go by on Coast Hwy.

We came here for Sunday brunch, and the place was packed. I really liked the ambiance and the center bar area seemed like a great place to sit as well. Try to request for a table on their outdoor patio out front.

The menu has a lot of classic comfort dishes. We had their asparagus fries to start, which were yummy. Their fried deviled eggs also looked tasty, but we didn't order them. For entrees, the prime rib dip sandwich and ribeye melt were nothing special. In fact, we were a bit disappointed on how simple these dishes were. The burger on the other hand, was awesome.

The dinner menu seems like one worth trying out, so I'll be back!

My cousin and our best friend treated me out to dinner on Saturday night for my birthday and boy did we have a great time. We made reservations for 5 pm and unfortunately due to traffic a few in our party arrived late. Luckily, my cousin who was already there was seated and she started ordering drinks and appetizers so they were ok with that. I arrived shortly after the appointed time due to my quest for parking. Our other friend arrived after me. We ordered a few mojitos w/ vodka and strawberry & basil gimlets. We also ordered the fire roasted artichoke, 3 sides of mac & cheese, a citrus vinegarette salad, a fully loaded potato, fish & chips, and a rib-eye melt. Comfort food at its finest. Nick's provides quite a bit of comfort from their easy-on-the-eye decor to the cushy booths that line the walls. The bar takes up almost the entire front dining space yet it still feels inviting. Maybe it's the open window front that allows the sea breeze through. Despite the early hour for dinner, Nick's was packed. Our conversation died down a little because we were too busy chowing down on all the good eats. I love eating out with friends because I get to try out their food too! The service was excellent. We even ordered cake and ice cream for dessert and they brought me a free birthday sundae too! I had a wonderful birthday with my girls!

My experience with restaurants around beach area are usually not good because their food are always extremely over price and not that good. But, I think I have found a go-to place to eat in Laguna now!!!

I came with 2 friends that I haven't seen for 3 years, and they live around the area, so we decided to give it a shot. The restaurant is rather small, so I don't recommend a group larger than 6 coming here (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/aMeRSgPPrrH_cqJqcwtA6Q?select=QIXeaIhbBW-mtflXBgIPaw).

We order Halibut Burger, Sear Tuna Salad and cioppino. Well, I didn't try my friends' food, but I know it's delicious for the fact the conversation stopped when we started eating! I know my cioppino is one of the best I've had. The seafood were very fresh and the soup base was not too tomatoie. The cioppino also came with a hot sour dough bread, which was great for dipping and soaking up all the delicious sauce!

As for dessert? Well, they're warm butter cake is the way to go!!!!! This cake "should be illegal to sale," stated by my friend. He was also the one who said "Nahh, you can order it and eat it, but I won't be having any!" And.... Guess what.... the dessert came

One of my absolute fave restaurants in Laguna! Stayed at the Ritz down the street and was cruising down Highway 1. My friend heard about this place and so we decided to check it out. It's been 2 years so I forgot what I ordered, but it was amazing!!!!

Among the best food you'll find nestled inside the little art gallery and tchotchke shop stretch of Laguna.

They do a mighty good breakfast, which I remember favorably for eggs Benedict made up with short ribs, but this concoction (a long with breakfast at all) is not available on weekdays.

Regardless, Nick's is pretty short on awful food and nothing has been non-delicious.

P.S. Fried chicken. Mmmm!

This is one of my favorites in Laguna Beach. Quality food always consistant. Not a huge menu, but there is something for everyone. Best Chili but only on Saturdays. I love their Salmon dish. Employees are always friendly and accomadating. Great for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Very nice wine list.
