A true Maine, "Pub and Restaurant", loved by all for huge river view, excellent food at fair prices, and delicious home made premium beer...wow, a gem. Gluten-Free items on menu!

If you're looking for nightlife and live music on a weekend, you'll want to stop in and have a locally brewed beer as well.

Local brew house with top notch grub. The service is impeccable. Lobster roll would have been better in season. Balsamic glazed beef skewers with garlic risotto, blue cheese, asparagus and grilled tomato (wow!)

My favorite place to eat in the summer. It's right on the river and you can see out to the ocean in some spots. The food prices are low which is nice. They also have really good beer!

Great restaurant with a neat selection of craft beers brewed on site. Its location on the waterfront makes it a nice place to grab dinner.

We like this place, sitting outside on the deck. Okay for a casual dinner for family.

Federal Jacks has many things to offer. Not only can you sample beers created right here in Maine, but you can go for live music, pool and time with friends. They are also family-friendly during dinner time, and even offer a large Sunday Brunch for a much lower price than many local restaurants.

Great for a casual night out. Play pool, darts or walk through the shops of the port while you wait for you table. Great view of the port.

Local brewery with a great selection. Live music on Friday and Saturday nights. Good comfort food and a great place to catch up on the latest games.

aka Kennebunk brewing home of Shipyard Ale... Nice outside overlooking the boats in port and lots of tasters available. We didn't try the food.

First, let me say this: you don't go to Federal Jack's for the food - it's really nothing special. You DO go for two things: for the location, perched precariously above the Kennebunk River, filled with boats, and for the beer. "Feds" (as we locals call it) is the home brewpub of the Shipyard brewery, makers of fine beers like Old Thumper and a number of incredible seasonal ales. They run a little on the hoppy-side, but they're very, very tasty.

If you visit around Christmas, don't leave without trying the Prelude Ale - you'll thank me later.

And one last thing: if you're looking for a bar open "late" in Kennebunk, Feds is one of the few options. In the summer, though, it's packed with wedding parties and local kids, and in the winter it's basically deserted.
