Huntington Beach is the most populous seaside city in Orange County, California. It has an 8.5-mile long sandy beach and lively beach culture, but really it’s all about the surfing. Huntington Beach has some of the best surf breaks in the whole of California, and though it doesn’t have the highest waves in the world by any means, the consistent ... Read more
year-round quality of surf means the city is often referred to as “Surf City, USA,” and sometimes even as the “Surfing Capital of the World.” The world surfing championships are held in the city each summer. If you’d rather watch the surfers than take part yourself, the atmospheric pier is a popular spot with both spectators and sports fishermen. And if you’re wondering how standing on a plank of wood on some water became so popular, check out the International Surfing Museum whose aim is to preserve the history of surfing culture throughout the globe. And with all that adrenaline pumping throughout the day, the nightlife is pretty buzzing too—check out the bars along the waterfront.

Huntington Beach

Summer brings crowds to Los Angeles, booking up hotels along the coast and restaurants in the city. From September to May the area is less crowded, and the air less smoggy, though you may encounter the hot, dry ... Read more
Santa Ana winds. Headed to the beach? Don't go in June when the 'June Gloom' makes the beaches cold and foggy for most of the morning. The coast is always a bit cooler than inland (head to Santa Monica and not Hollywood if you want a breeze). Whatever time of year you go, however, you can leave your down coat at home.

Huntington Beach sunrise and breakfast burritos are a must. Honestly, sneak some champagne and OJ and sit on the beach. You have finally made it ya'll!

Beautiful beach! Spacious, plenty of food and vendors nearby, parking is ok, many beach volleyball nets/courts but bring your own lines, great for surfing, etc.

The beach is always free, this beach tends to be one of the most common, typical California beaches

Surf City USA. Huntington Beach may just be a few beach blocks but don't let that stop you. Main Street is the place to be any time of the year. In July you can also come to see the world surfing championships.

Huntington Beach is an awesome place to check out. Plenty of shops and restaurants to try. They have various tournaments at Pier like Paintballing and Surfing.

Two minutes to Beach Blvd that takes you straight to Huntington Beach. Little over 15 miles. Arrive at the Pier with shops and restaurants, dog beach to the north of the pier. Newport Beach peninsula and Balboa island few minutes south.
