I've noticed this famous street market change becoming more touristy although it is still an excellent spot to eat some fantastic food. Open air seafood restaurants, curry houses and clay pot cafes plus street food dotted throughout.

You can still find a bargain here but do take care if buying "antiques" or brand label leather goods. The stalls on the street are good but do also check out the shops as you may well find an item of interest. There are a few good clothing stores that carry larger sizes.

Still very much worth a visit have a rummage and don't forget to haggle.

Starts 4pm daily and picks up after dark. There is also live opera singing and fortune tellers so offers a bit more than some markets.

I only came here once and it was to look around, browse - basically to say that I had been here. Most of the shopping I did in Hong Kong occurred in the Ladies Street. Temple Street has a lot of old architecture and abandoned temples (if I remember correctly), as well as a lot of fortune tellers sitting around waiting for customers. There are stands that sell toys, and other cute trinkets as well. The tourists seem more content to browse and look rather than bargain and shop here. Definitely is something to see if you're in HK and wanting to look at famous sites.

An interesting street to walk through at night if you don't mind banging shoulders with some crowds. Up for sale are electronics, fake shoes and bags, tons of cheap tshirts, and many bargain priced cheesy souvenirs. So not really a place I'd get excited about shopping out, but still an interesting place to browse.

It usually opens around 14:00 (not 12:00 like Yelp says). I think it has more electronic stuff than Ladies market but is in general smaller. It closes sharp at midnight.

It's a place for tourist. Quality products won't be found here but it's a nice walk and nice experience I guess.

you'll meet the rudest, loudest and most unpleasant hawkers in the world here. totally spoilt my night out. plus, food is waaaay expensive, lack of cooking styles, and the other wares are all looking to make a killing on tourists thinking that the age of Internet shopping still has not dawn and we are totally ignorant of prices.

Temple Street Night Market is popular place for those who like shopping and foodies. Thirty years ago, this place is full of legends - gangster and bad women. No parents will allowed their children to come here because they afraid their children will influenced by gangster.

Nice to buy some cheap gifts for friends. But they offer the same stuff as at the ladies market, so if you visited ladies market allready you only need to go to temple street if you want to try more local food.

This is something different to do on a night out in Hong Kong. It is cool and full of culture. I personally did not buy much but I did enjoy a stroll through.

I went to the Temple Street Night Market and was amazed at the seemingly endless stands and tables filled with vendors and sellers. All types of things were being sold here, from clothes, souvenirs, to other assorted knick knacks. It's a lively place to go at night and a prime opportunity to stock up on souvenirs.

AKA Men's market...not as good as the Ladies' market but still a good place to get some deals on apple accessories and souvenirs. MUST negotiate. It's supposed to open at 4pm but all the stores don't open until after the sun sets.

Local from Hong Kong

Open at 4pm, Temple Street Market starts to buzz after dark with more than 100 colorful stalls featuring hawkers, fortune-tellers, palm readers, food stalls, and impromptu Chinese opera singers. Many local residents and tourists enjoy the late-night shopping and then sit outside in the open-air restaurants. Bargaining for an iPhone case before slurping up shrimp noodles is a fun way to spend the evening.

With stalls lining the streets and spread across a stretch of road that reaches almost half-a-kilometer, Temple Street is known for being one of the busiest flea markets at night. Unlike other street markets, Temple Street is more varied and diversified and one can expect to find quirky wall posters, Banksy replica paintings, bedroom toys, iPhone cases, and more. Stretching all the way down the road are densely packed stalls jam-packed with goods ranging from clothes to mobile phones, Mao memorabilia, and even industrial-strength lasers. Bartering is still acceptable at most stalls, but it is not as common as it once was.

You'll get a lot of choices to eat at the Temple Street Night Market. They got a long queue of stalls with different must-try foods. Roasted, barbecue stuffs, seafood, chili crabs, lobster, pork and beef, etc. You could also dine right there, they setup some chairs and tables on the streets.

I was disappointed that the Temple Street Night Market was basically the Ladies' Market but at night. Nothing special, really.
