Various playgrounds provide children with plenty of fun, while adults can take advantage of the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre or Flagstaff House Museum of Teaware. Both centers reside in preserved historic houses dating as far back as 1842. Hong Kong Park also offers a restaurant for visitors who want to grab a bite to eat.

The Serene Hong Kong Park is an urban oasis that contains an aviary, zen gardens, a lagoon with kois and turtles, and floras...right in the middle of a concrete jungle.

Hong Kong Park is a nice retreat from the bustling city. Not too far from the MTR, it boasts a well maintained aviary that is free for public. A wide variety of birds are kept there and the garden is well manicured. Definitely worth a visit. If visiting in the summer months, do wear long pants and bring insect repellent as there will be gnats in some areas!

The Hong Kong Park is awesome. It is quite peaceful even though you are right in Central Hong Kong.

There is a large pond with turtles and fish that people can simply take a bench nearby and watch. It really is quite relaxing.

The aviary there at the park is also quite amazing. There are scores of birds here of several different species. You actually enter the enclosure with the birds and you can get within a few inches from time to time. If you enjoy photography and birds, this is a must visit.

It is a must visit for anyone that has more than a couple of days in Hong Kong.

One of the best, and best kept city parks that I ever seen. What a peaceful, tranquil, feeling from the sound of a multitude of waterfalls.

Come to see how the locals relax. You will probably see one or tow couple having their wedding photos taken here too. Bring a pack lunch and find some shade to escape the heat of the city.

Whether you are in Hong Kong for one day or one week, you must visit Hong Kong Park! This park has a LOT to offer both locals and tourists alike. Hong Kong park is built on hill so be ready to climb a couple inclines and/or stairs. There is a small tea museum that is in an old house. If you like tea or museums, or need to step in away from the rain (like we did!) you will like this place. It's very small and you can see some old pottery as well as some wonderful handmade modern pieces. After the museum skip over next door to have some tea and learn about how to make it the Chinese way. Our server spoke English and told us how to make the two different kinds of tea we ordered. You can stay as long as you like and they will keep bringing you hot water. It's great! You can also order dim sum and other food.
We also saw a tai chi garden and a wonderful bird aviary. I highly recommend the aviary! They built platforms so you walk around up where the birds live in the treetops. It's a cool perspective. Also in Hong Kong Park is the place where you go to get married. We actually saw a wedding party posing for pictures!

There are lots of other things in the park as well. I just wrote about the things we saw and did. Everything is well marked with sign posts and maps so you will be able to navigate around easily.

This beautiful urban park in Admiralty is a great escape from the concrete jungle. It's a popular wedding venue with beautiful gardens and ponds. There were butterflies and turtles when we visited.
