The Peninsula is easily one of Hong Kong most luxurious hotel and has earned its place since 1928. Its glamorous splendour, very high ceilings and luxurious rooms will bring you back to the 1930s, while the beautiful harbour-front and the Star Ferry are only at a walking distance. Those feeling rich could try a ride on their Rolls Royce fleet.

If you want to try out the colonial-style high tea, try its Felix on 1/F and enjoy an afternoon of nostalgia!

The Peninsula, “The Grand Dame of the Far East” is one of the fanciest hotels in Hong Kong. Luckily even us non-guest folks can enjoy the luxuries of the spa and pool area. Those of us that aren’t lucky enough to be able to stay at the hotel have to invest in at least 60 minutes of spa treatments to get to the space, so expect to part with at least $1000. But when you see the views from the pool, it’s worth it. This place is the creme de la creme.

This fantastically beautiful historic hotel is billed as the oldest hotel in the city. Though most won't be able to afford a room (myself included), it is still worth a visit. I forked out a pretty penny for some (tasty) tea in the ornate lobby. There's a hefty surcharge for atmosphere, but it was still fun.

I didn't say here or get to do afternoon tea, but I really wanted to. If I had more time to plan out my trip (it was really short), I would have made a reservation for afternoon tea here. My boyfriend took me here just to walk through and admire the architecture. The interior is really beautiful. If you don't have the budget or time to have tea, just take a quick tour through the hotel lobby. It reminded me of the Titanic with its grand staircases up to the second floor. At the top of the stairs is a hallway with lush carpeting and really high end stores, like Graff and Louis Vuitton (you're surrounded by luxury stores in HK, so you'll get used to it).

Peninsula Hong Kong is luxury hotel located in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong and its known for their Afternoon Tea. Service there was impeccable. We were served by young men and women in white suits while listening the chamber orchestra filled with Classical music and contemporary Disney songs.

Peninsula Hong Kong Hotel is 6-star hotel in Hong Kong, if you wish to see the famous Hong Kong artists or international famous artists, sure you can found some of them. The food here is very expensive but once you entered here, you feel VVIP.

I visit this hotel almost every time I come to HK. It's beautiful, classy, and just a joy to be at. I've been here for afternoon tea, a large birthday dinner, drinks at the bar, etc and service has always been top notch.

My mom used to take me for afternoon tea in The Peninsula Lobby when I was little, and it still holds a special place in my heart. For both kids and adults, the Lobby allows you to go back in time with its regale decor and old-fashioned service. Cucumber sandwiches, tarts, scones, crumpets and anything else that screams "I should be in 17th Century England right now" is served on tiered silver platters. There is a huge variety of tea to choose from, although I was never much of a tea drinker at age 7. Instead, I went for their bitter hot chocolate - and probably still would.

Get your girlfriends together and have afternoon tea at the Peninsula, located in TST, one of Kowloon's busiest tourist districts. The Peninsula is a gorgeous hotel, and their afternoon tea is one of the best ones around. It comes out to around $40 USD a person, but trust me, those little cakes and scones and the unlimited tea will definitely keep you satisfied.

Impeccable service, lovely rooms, and fantastic views. I though tea here was a bit more pomp than quality but the Peninsula is well-deserving of its position as one of the top hotels on the planet.

Still the best hotel in Kowloon. Not sure there is any serious competition on that score.

MUST go here for high tea even if you are not staying in the hotel. I have never stayed here but I always try to go when I'm in town for the high tea. It's a nice experience. Gorgeous hotel.

I'd also recommend the Peninsula. Make sure you get a harbor view room, and you'll have an absolutely amazing view of the Hong Kong skyline (ridiculously gorgeous at night). At first I was concerned that the Peninsula is in Kowloon, but it's very easy to hop on a ferry (I think it took about 10 min if I remember) to the HK side or taxi over the bridge....plus, Kowloon has plenty to do in its own right and its kind of nice to get out of the busiest parts of HK to sleep at night.

Aside from the rooms, amazing views and impeccable service, three other things were top-notch about the Peninsula....1) The Spa. One of the best spa experiences I've had 2) The hotel restaurants. We took a private dim sum making class at Spring Moon which was such a cool experience. 3) A helicopter tour of the harbor and surrounding areas (like the Buddha)...but what makes this particularl helicopter tour cool is that you leave from the helipad on top of the hotel. Very, very James Bond, and an absolute must for Hong Kong.

I love the Peninsula Hotel! Everything is wonderful but nothing as refreshing as relieving one's self in the sculptured urinals in the Men's Room on the upper floor while looking out a floor to ceiling window at Hong Kong across the bay. Even if one doesn't stay there it's worth the ferry ride across the bay to have a drink and check out the men's room!!

I had tea at The Peninsula. A very sophisticated, colonial Hong Kong experience!

One of Hong Kong's tourist traditions, for locals and visitors alike, is High Tea at The Peninsula. Be prepared to queue, but an important point on your tourist trail.

James Bond stayed here...as did many dignitaries, royalties, and regular folks. What's so special about this hotel is the colonial grandeur that it exudes even today, in Chinese-ruled modern Hong Kong. Rooms are plushy arranged, views from the rooms are incredible (in the Tower, on the harbor side). Everyone will say don't miss the tea set in the lobby lounge. Sure. I will also say in addition, don't miss the happy hour at Felix at the top of the Pen Tower. The Felix restrooms are not to be missed, trust me, they've got the best views there!

Gorgeous historic hotel, a few steps away from the star ferry. The afternoon tea at The Lobby is very elegant. Dining at Felix, the Philippe Starck restaurant, is quite an experience as well.
