looks like a giant golf-ball half-buried in the ground. Built in 1963, the revolutionary geodesic dome design halved construction times and transformed it from a humble theater to an instant landmark. In the late 1990s, theater enthusiasts and preservationists saved the Cinerama Dome from developers who threatened to transform the unique facility into an ordinary multiplex.

not the best Arclight to say the least it's actually very bougie and there's lots of gay people working there who are extremely flamboyant and bitchy.

Huge screens always first rate movies and a super bar within the theater. Validated parking. YAY!

Great venue to watch a movie. Dinner and a movie?? Yes they have a restaurant inside with a bar that kills 2 birds with one stone. Drinks can come inside the theatre as well. Seats are more spacious than the norm and the assigned seating is amazing so there is no more rush. If you buy tickets online go straight to the ticket taker either upstairs or on the entrance floor. Don't forget to validate parking at their own validation station. 3 bucks for 4 hours.

ArcLight has officially become a chain and has variable theaters across SoCal. This one is one of the originals and still one of my favorites. Comfy seats, reserved seatings, a bar and usually the latest movies (including indie fare) - there's little to complain here other than the slightly higher ticket prices. Do be aware that parking is validated in the parking structure.

Great place to catch a movie. They have alot of independent movies along with the big blockbusters. Nice screens and food is good too to make it more in the luxury area. Lots of screening have special guest stars for talks when you catch the movie before it comes out.

This is for the cafe inside the Arclight. Full bar and appetizers, or sit down for a meal. Tell them your movie showtime and they'll get you served and off to your screen. Solid American food with some classic Mediterranean touches.

It's definitely a nice a theatre where you can get drinks before your movie. Arclight movie theatres are just pricier then most movie theaters.

What can I say about ArcLight Hollywood that hasn't already been said? While the entire multiplex is geared toward offering a premium moviewatching experience, to really experience the best this ArcLight has to offer, be sure to catch a film showing in "The Dome". The historic Cinerama Dome is one of LA's great movie houses and differs from the older movie palaces (Grauman's Chinese, El Capitan, etc.) in that it is one of the few cinemas in the world that was purpose-built to screen films created in the three-cameras-on-one-screen Cinerama format. The Dome is a must-visit destination for any film lover.

This would be considered LA's top-of-the-line multiplex. It's the site of numerous pre-opening screenings, has numerous eating places around it and offers a clean, comfortable all around experience.

Who could ignore this eye-catching geodesic dome along the busy street of Sunset? This Historical L.A. "figure", The Cinerama Theater has been a Hollywood staple for as long as I could remember, I've seen and attended special events and special features in this theater, in all those occasions, I've been nothing but happy with the picture quality & sounds in the theater as well as with the great service of the friendly staff.

The Dome is pretty spacious, seats are arranged by clusters and by sections, Balcony and Orchestra, it brings a sense of nostalgia in some way and sets it apart from the now standard auditorium style seating. It's almost rare now-a-days that theaters have the retracting curtains not to mention the intermission during special features... call me old school but I think it's pretty darn cool!

In keeping with the wonderful Arclight theater's attention to detail, booking can either be done online via https://www.arclightcinemas.com/ or you can walk-in to purchase your ticket, however, some shows have limited seating or might be too popular to have an available seat (check schedule and come ahead of time). I give props to the ushers for keeping this theater always nice and clean, I also liked that they've retain doing the brief introduction prior to the start of the movie - it's always good to know how long the movie is gonna run, director, genre and the hints that we musn't leave immediately after the movie has ended as a "pre-quels", bts, gag-reels, might pop-up in the credits...those are really awesome to see!

Concessions for the dome could be/should be improved, even though the staff are super cool and really efficient, I think expanding it could greatly improve and expedite the flow of popcorn hungry patrons.

Overall, I really like the Cinerama dome and I hope they maintain and keep this Hollywood legacy in operation for a very long time.

Super fun place to watch a movie. Especially on the Dome for the big action adventure movies. Easy walk to Hollywood Blvd for sight seeing before or after movie.

Lights! Camera! Action!

If you're looking for a glamorous way to enjoy a box office hit look no further- ArcLight Cinema is the theater of theaters. I was a virgin ArcLight patron, so my cousin and I decided to splurge for the occasion. 3D experience at Dome it is!

And since we were going all out, I decided to upgrade our concession snack as well. Candace Nelson, Cupcake Wars judge claimed that ArcLight's Caramel Corn was the best crunchy item she ever ate in her "The Best Thing I Ever Ate" appearance. Naturally, I had to sample it myself to verify this claim. Yes, it was a nice treat to snack on in the theater but I'm afraid it's a far cry from being "the best thing I ever ate." Perhaps a more appropriate description would be "a tasty alternative to stale theater popcorn."

Upon entering the dome, we were given our 3D glasses, which were substantial frames and battery powered. And directed to our comfy assigned seats. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience but am afraid that because of distance and price (essentially double a regular theater outing) it was a nice treat but not one that I see myself frequenting regularly- a solid 4 stars.

If you are visiting LA try to catch a showing in the cinerama dome. Pretty nice theatre in the LA area. It's a treat for me when I go here. It's a good date spot as it is in close proximity to numerous nice restaurants and they also have a bar inside which makes pretty good drinks. Also, they have meals too if I remember correctly. The theatre itself is comfy and they got nice cushy seats. The shows there are pricey but it's worth it. It's also worth it to watch a show in the dome sometime. If you are lucky you may get to watch a red carpet premiere happening which can be exciting for some people.

Quality cinema, but very pricey. It might be worth it, depending on the film or the event. You might see celebrities watching the same movie with you.
