something that's hard to capture in pictures. However, the market itself is very similar to others I've seen in Asia so far and almost every single booth sells the exact same stuff. If you're into trinkets and souvenirs like that, then maybe it will interest you more, but I couldn't really fit anything in my bags to travel with that long anyway so I just enjoyed walking by.

I am a big fan of Hoi An and believe you should stay there if possible. However, you can very easily just go visit from Da Nang. I have done both during visits. Hoi An is not that long of a drive and you can easily take a tour, pay a taxi, or pay a driver. Although Hoi An is beautiful during the day too, it really comes to life during the evening. There a tons of shops and food to enjoy. Custom clothing, bags, shoes and so much more.

Night market wasn’t too hard to find. From the famous walking bridge, just follow the bright lanterns down the canal side and you’re sure to run into the night market.

I never get tired of the leisure stroll through Hoi An's night life on the streets and in its dazzling shops and restaurants. The atmosphere is lovely, romantic and exciting. It feels equally good when you go in group or by yourself.

Always full to bursting with milling tourists, but you can't hold that against this charming little night market found just across the main bridge from town onto the island.
Browse the selection of handicrafts, inexpensive jewellery and a few bits of terrible tourist tat of course. My favourite things to shop for were the typically Hoi An lamps, which they will pack away and ship home for you at a reasonable price. Those and the tiny baby shoes - so cute! Be sure to buy an ice cream from the mobile ice cream man. You'll no doubt stumble across him on your travels through the night market!

Very magical at night. The lanterns, the architecture make you feel like you've been transported into a storybook setting.

Amazing especially on 14th and 15th day (Lunar Calendar) aka Full-Moon day celebrating by river lantern floating and Vietnamese folk music performance. I had street food for dinner next to the performance so i enjoy eating chatting with friends while hearing folk haha. The sweet soup (called CHÈ in Vietnamese, also street food) near by is great, many kinds of them and all are wanna-try.

This was one of my favorite spots in Hoi An. The market has all sorts of goods from food to clothing to even toys. It's like most markets that you come across in South East Asia. Why I like this market is because they put out all of their silk lanterns and light them to show them off to potential customers. It's a great place to go and take photographs as it's really beautiful.

This is great to walk through and buy all your little trinkets (if you're into that kind of thing) and sample loads of great street food. The markets are only small so it doesn't take too much time, but as always is nice to see how different cultures operate in that kind of environment.

This market is located across the river from the town. It has everything from local food and drinks to clothing to souvenirs, but the most noticeable item is the silk lanterns this town is famous for. There are tons of different colors, shapes, materials and sizes to pick from. Even though you're not planning on buying one, they make an excellent photo opportunity.

There are also game stalls, artists painting with traditional brush, etc. to keep you busy for a long time. It's kids friendly although it may get too crowded for little ones to get bumped around.
