I LOVED this hotel. We stayed here for a wedding and they'd hired the entire place out which meant there was no fear of waking everyone else up at 1am.
The rooms are beautiful and absolutely massive. You'll have so many cushions that you could make a pillow fort if you fancied it.
Also the bath is super deep and it's the best.

This is probably the best hotel in all of Glasgow. We stayed in the vettriano room which is spread over two floors. There is a bath at the foot of the four poster bed and the lower floor is a huge bathroom suite with dual shower. The staff were incredibly pleasant and even brought fresh milk in the morning (no yucky UTH stuff). Would jump at the chance to stay here again.

Hidden away in an elegant Victorian Street in Glasgow's West End, you'll find Hotel Du Vin and a papparazzi or two. Depending on who happens to be staying.

For those in the know, Hotel Du Vin at One Devonshire Gardens has always been regarded as one of the top hotels in Glasgow and Scotland and that's why it is also the hotel of choice for visiting celebrities, and the Hollywood Hoi Polloi.

Step inside and you'll soon see why.

Discreet and demure, the warm inviting ambience immediately leaves you with the feeling that you are in a rather special place. The 49 bedrooms and suites, all of which are exquisitely decorated, blend in artfully with the architecture of these imposing buildings. From roll top baths to handsprung mattresses dressed in the finest Egyptian linen, it's obvious that attention to detail and attentive service are of the utmost importance in this hotel.

Dining at Du Vin is a celebratory affair. You can enjoy a champagne lunch served in the salon or an early evening meal in the Bistro. There's also private dining rooms, a bar, an outdoor cigar shack and a whisky room, just in case you had forgotten which country you were in!

Local from Glasgow

Dizzyingly indulgent accommodation. Stupendously beautiful stained glass. A wine cellar I didn’t want to leave… One Devonshire has everything. The Bistro is the epitome of candle-lit elegance, and the expertly stocked lounge bar and whisky room extend the sophisticated ambiance with inviting settees and gorgeous, curved bay windows. The whisky room itself is enough to put this hotel on the map, and a deliciously smoky aroma permeates.

As well as the Bistro and lounges, One Devonshire offers a suite of elegant meeting and function spaces, plus a snug Bothy in the garden where guests can enjoy a smoke in warm, comfortable surroundings. There’s also a dark paneled area reminiscent of the smoking room in a Victorian gentlemen’s club—with expertly stocked cigar cabinet to complete the scene.

Away from the befuddling influences of wine, whisky and Cuban tobacco, I see a ground floor room priced at £495 a night. An old-fashioned copper bath sits in one corner, a generous sleigh bed dominates and a glittering grotto of a bathroom occupies the basement level. Next is the hotel’s mews suite. A two storey, semi-private annex at the rear of the building with everything you could wish for—gym, bar, sauna…

Did I find any fault with One Devonshire? The too-contemporary wallpaper and fabrics used. Otherwise this hotel is a dream and I would highly recommend reserving a room here for a truly special experience.
