The pros of Ting Thai are that it's pretty cheap, and the food's pretty nice. The cons are that the menu's pretty variable in quality, and it's often almost impossible to get into at lunch time!

Food is amazing! Well priced and great location for town. The atmosphere can feel a little hectic and rushed and try to avoid at peak lunch hours or face the mass of students!

Great value for money, delicious and the service is quick. Can be noisy sometimes.

I’ve been going to Ting Thai for lunch since it opened, and it never disappoints. The food is always delicious, and my personal favourite is the Pad Se Ew - a spicy noodle dish.

It gets very busy at lunch, especially when the students at the local university get out, and if you’re ordering take-away you might be asked to wait outside. One to remember if you’re visiting in winter.

That said it’s worth it, and you can be sure the food will warm you up in ways that’ll make you forget about the cold.

I’m a big fan of the pad Thai king prawn option in here which I always have as a take away to eat back at the office. This place is always buzzing and full of students, as well as people from the various offices in the area.

Service is quick and the staff always exceptionally efficient, friendly and helpful (I often stand outside to wait for my take away to be ready, and staff do come out and find me).

Great atmosphere and street food. You will need to queue when it's busy but it's worth the wait.

The pad Thai is excellent from this place. It’s great for lunch but gets really busy with students. You can’t book a table so expect to queue at peak times.

Great spot. Always busy during the day as caters to student price range. Regularly have a take out for work lunch.

Tasty and fresh Thai inspired meals such as curries, noodles and pad Thais etc.

Solid Thai place with a laid back vibe. It's quite small so you'll probably have to wait a while but the food's worth it.

Only downsides - cash only (there's a machine nearby) and the staff can be a little stand-offish.

Excellent Thai food mixed with casual dining. Queues will be very long at peak times so worth having a back up option.

Decent Thai food in Edinburgh. I've been here multiple times and am finding that there are only a couple dishes that I really enjoy (the red curry being one of them). Cash only. And it's a small place so there is usually a wait.

Trendy thai restaurant next to Quartermile. Great curries and phad thai - can’t go wrong with this one.

with queues out the door daily, this place is the place to go for delicious, cheap food. They serve up tasty thai at rapid pace. The little side dish with squid and prawn is a must have

Good food but a bit pricey, don't accept card and staff aren't always the nicest. Very chill place though!

Consistently good food and fast service. Watch you get there before peak as often queue out of door for seats!
