This stunning college campus is worth a visit. There are some areas with entry fees, but you can wander around for free. I was lucky with my visit and got to see an outdoor performance by some students. So make sure to check whether any events are going on during your visit.

Trinity is one of the prettiest campuses I’ve ever seen, ever. I highly recommend popping in if you are in Dublin. It’s free to walk around and gaze at the beautiful buildings. The library has a charge but other than that it’s a free spot to chill and relax a bit!

Don't forget the Book of Kells and the Long Room. Head into the Buttery Cafe on the grounds of Trinity if your looking for a reasonably priced lunch and good food.

You must go to the college in order to experience the amazing library and to glimpse a couple of pages of the Book of Kells. So much history in this school, and it was great to rub shoulders with some of the students who were having lunch in the student union.

Home to the Book of Kells
The Book of Kells Exhibition is a must-see on the itinerary of all visitors to Dublin. Located in the heart of Dublin City, a walk through the cobbled stones of Trinity College Dublin will bring visitors back to the 18th century, when the magnificent Old Library building was constructed and which displays the Book of Kells.
The Book of Kells is Ireland's greatest cultural treasure and the world's most famous medieval manuscript. The 9th century book is a richly decorated copy of the four Gospels of the life of Jesus Christ.

The exhibition is open 7 days a week. Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket desk within the exhibition.

I stopped here to visit the Book of Kells but arrived too late and it was closed. Fortunately I was able to walk the grounds of the college. The architecture is beautiful and the grounds were much larger than they appeared from the street. I was also fortunate to catch the colleges chapel choir singing. I ended up attending mass after being invited in. The choir sounded like angels. I'd recommend attending their mass! Goose bumps! The campus is definitely worth the stop and I'd advise checking the hours of the Kells so you don't make my mistake. Guess I'll have to come back! Darn!

What a beautiful, historic, urban campus! We were here in summer, when many high school students were touring with their parents. Walking the grounds and going in some of the buildings made me want to go back to college. This is a lovely place to stroll, sit and take a break, and do some interesting people watching Think of all the scholars who have graced this historic campus!

Campus has some nice buildings. The main attraction is the Book of Kells but the line was so long didn't bother to go in. Instead I walked the campus and enjoyed watching student life.

How I wish I went to school here. Open spaces, tons of history, and right in the center of the city with access to the Luas. Didn't get a chance to go see The Book Of Kells (line was super long!) but just the atmosphere of the school was so nice to be in.

It's a beautiful campus. Unfortunately the long library and thus the Book of Kells were closed for Christmas, and we missed seeing them.

Trinity College takes up a large portion of the city. I went through on my way to the south of the city. I couldn't believe how much of the city the college takes up. It's also where the Book of Kells is located.

Gorgeous campus in a nice central location. A must-see in Dublin. More for the atmosphere and architecture / historical buildings than for any specific tourist sight.

The library is particularly special.
