My boyfriend and I absolutely loved the Jameson distillery - much more so than the Guinness Storehouse. Even if you don't like whiskey, you'll still appreciate the history and importance of Jameson in the Irish economy and culture on this guided, personable tour. If you do like whiskey, the experience will be better for sure - you get to taste test a flight at the end of the tour, then enjoy a drink of your choice at the bar (whiskey neat or mixed into John Jameson's cocktail of choice - mixed with ginger ale with a lime.) The experience is well worth the entry fee - book online for a small discount - and the custom/personalized bottles of reserve whiskey are a great souvenir.

If you're a fan of Irish whiskey, you have to visit the Old Jameson Distillery. Here you can learn history of Jameson and whiskey. You can purchase special edition of Jameson at the shop -- you can only get it from here!

Very nice tour and a lovely tasting as well. I was lucky enough to be chosen to taste test a Scotch, Irish and American whiskey...interesting. Without leaving you in suspense, I did not care for the American and the Irish whiskey was a close second to the Scotch.

Fun and informative tour. Drinks at the beginning and end of the tour are the way to go.
The tours fill up pretty fast depending on when you go. Expect to wait for tour to begin. We waited about 45 minutes but while we waited we had drinks and walked around the compound. Also did our souvenir shopping. Worth the wait.

If you love Whiskey you must visit the Old Jameson Distillery. For about 14euro (12euro if you are a student) you get a tour of the facility, tasting class, then a cocktail at the end. When you are there make sure you get a bottle of the Reserve that is only sold at the Distillery, it so good!

As a fan of the whiskey, and especially the refreshing Jameson's, a visit here was like paying homage to my mecca. The tour is informative and interesting. There is a bar right here onsite (no kidding) and we had the most delicious and possibly most authentically made Irish coffee here. Cheers!

A great tour of the Old Jameson Distillery, especially for fans of whiskey. Everyone gets a sample of Jameson at the end, a handful of guests can volunteer to do a taste comparison of Jameson with American whiskey and Scotch whiskey. Can be a little much at 11am, but well worth it. The restaurant across from the entrance offers a nice breakfast as well.

A museum about the distillation of Whiskey based in the Old Distillery. A free sample is given out at the end of the tour and you need to be quick off the mark to take place in the sampling.

The Guinness Brewery may be more famous, and is also a fun time, but if you are a fan of spirits I recommend checking out the Jameson distillery. The tour allows you to learn about the long history of whiskey production in Ireland, and the unique way that Jameson is produced that gives it that extra smooth taste. And of course you get to do some whiskey tasting, which is always a good thing

Better than the Guinness brewery, but still very obviously commercial. Again free samples.

The Jameson Distillery is a must do attraction in Dublin. Enjoy a glass of Jameson during your short wait for the tour to start. After the interesting video that kicks off the tour, make sure to be a volunteer for something that comes at the end of the tour (they wont tell you, and neither will I, but its fun!).

We enjoyed our trip to the Old Jameson Distillery. It was an informative tour and we also enjoyed our whiskey tasting. If you can only go to one "beverage" tour I think I would pick the St. James Gate (Guinness) tour over there Jameson tour.... perhaps that's because I'm more of a Guinness man.

I learned that I liked whisky with cranberry juice and I also had a great irish coffee at the bar! Do this over the Guinness tour.

Not the most amazing tour ever, but I'm a fan of the history and science of distillation, so I rather enjoyed it. The blind tasting at the end is fun as well.

A must visit place for a whiskey lover. The guided tour takes you through all the stages of the whiskey distillation. The tour is followed by a whiskey tasting session where you are enlightened with the various nuances of the taste of a whiskey. There is a shop to buy gifts and other goodies.
