Weather

Like the rest of Southern California, Orange County is known for its year-round pleasant weather. From April to November, you can hardly go wrong weather-wise, with temperatures that stay in the 70s and 80s ... Read more
(21-31). November through March is also mild, though more rainy than the rest of the year. Keep in mind that California is home to a number of microclimates, meaning that temperatures vary as you step off of the coast. In the summer, inland temperatures can reach 90 (32) and occasionally even 100 (38). Also beware of California’s “June Gloom” or “May Grey”, which can cause normally sunny beaches to become overcast and foggy.

Even hangout outside a Starbucks on PCH is so chill. The warm sun, a light breeze, and some gorgeous palm trees. This place is quickly becoming my happy place.

Gorgeous views of the ocean and the bluffs. We explored and saw lots of rocks and a cave and sea anemones. Mostly rocks. The footing to walk out and explore was treacherous. My parents opted out. Beautiful area to ride bikes. Park your bike before the rocks.

Beach, harbor, whale and dolphin watching, the marine center...Dana Point is a great place for some classic SoCal Pacific fun. Bring a picnic and sit on the hills overlooking the ocean for a laid-back afternoon.

Dana Point is where the 1 meets the 5. It's south OC where you see a lot of great art and get the small town feel. From here it's on to San Diego!

Dana Point is a gorgeous spot for sightseeing, lunch overlooking the Pacific Ocean, photography, a walk on the beach or simply watching the surfers.

I always come back to this peaceful & serene place for our family gatherings. It's a part of the family. We've celebrated birthdays and holidays here multiple times. Since my boys were both still under 5. We went paddle boarding but you can also do kayak. Rentals are by the harbor and up the street on the PCH.
