The OTC hosts our nation's finest and best athletes. We're proud to have adopted into our family an OTC wrestler. A fun tour within 25 minutes drive of our home. An inspiring visit for sure.

ok, so it's not like you are going to meet Simone Biles or be able to take a dip in the Olympic pool - but the facility has been the training place for our Countries Top Athletes! Plus, the Museum is coming soon too!

The Olympic Training Center is where you will find the place of where many of the Olympic athletes train. Every day the Training Center provides free tours where if you are lucky you can may run into a very famous athlete. (Michael Phelps trained her for many years).

This is one of three US Olympic Training Centers in the country, and the hour-long tour provides an overview of the center and then a walk through the facilities. We saw the shooting center, weight rooms, sports medicine, cooking/kitchen training, and the pool. For anyone interested in sports or the Olympics, you see how this center, that receives no government funding, supports the efforts of Team USA and aspiring Olympic athletes.

Olympic athletes come here to stay and train. Take a tour, gift shop available. Guided tours of the OTC facilities are available throughout the year. Each tour begins with a video presentation, followed by a walking tour of the complex. The video and tour experience lasts approximately one hour. $5 or less and 10 minutes from our house.

Home of where the great American Olympians train and prepare for greatness. An inspiring place to visit and also to spend some time. The main attraction in Colorado Springs as it stores a great deal of Olympic history for our country.

Before they take the Olympic spotlight, athletes put in long hours here to prepare for the world’s largest athletic competition. The Colorado Springs center is one of three in the U.S. and focuses on summer indoor sports like swimming and fencing. You can tour the facility for free, and depending on your timing, your guide may even be an athlete. Linda Kramer of the blog Travels with Children says, “Our kids loved sitting in a bobsled, seeing how long the longest jump really was, and pretending to get their own gold medals.”
