special interest in social awareness and makes an attempt to teach children and their parents the importance of conservation and sustainability. One of the most unique attractions of this zoo is called "Animal Art" which consists of artwork that is actually created by the animals themselves. Finally, all animal lovers have the opportunity to meet face to face with their most beloved animals.

The only mountain zoo in the US. The views cannot be matched anywhere in the world. This zoo is so beautiful and the animals are very well cared for. Look for coupons online. The do give military discounts.

We really enjoy seeing all the zoo animals in a clean, safe and mountain environment. A great way to spend the day in the mountains.

Zoo built into the side of Cheyenne Mountain. Very unique setting. Has a world renowned giraffe breeding program. Go up and feed the giraffes! Nothing in the world like a giraffe tongue!! It is hilly so take your time. The altitude and hills can take a toll

The Zoo's Elephant & Giraffe exhibit is 2nd to none - you actually walk above the elephants and can feed the Giraffes. It's a lot of fun!

We have yearly passes for this zoo as our kids love it. You can feed the giraffes and elephants. The zoo has a lot of hills however they do offer a lift in a golf cart for those unable to walk uphill.

America’s only mountainside zoo. This zoo lets you get real close to the animals. You can even pet and feed the giraffes!

The only mountain zoo in the country. In addition, Will Rogers Shrine sits just above the zoo. See the Shrine first hand and up close. Enjoy your stay!

If you have kids, this is a pretty epic zoo. Friends from overseas visited recently and we're going on and on about how much better it was than the acclaimed San Diego zoo. Just their opinion maybe, but it's a day packed with fun either way. The only down side it runs a bit on the pricey side.

The largest giraffe herd in the United States. This zoo is built into Cheyenne Mountain, be prepared to hoof it (although there is a shuttle to help you get around). Try to arrive early, before the crowds. While you can see this Zoo anytime, the animals are very active during rainy, snow and overcast days. Just be prepared for the weather.

The zoo is literally on the side of the mountain. Don't miss feeding the giraffes, and consider giving your feet a rest with a slow ride on the chair lift.

This is a MUST!! So happy I found this zoo on the Trip app. It is the day after our trip and the kids are still talking about feeding the giraffes, elephant, and birds. We have lived in Florida and Georgia. This is the best zoo we have visited. We are definitely making this a stopping point any time we come to Colorado.

This zoo is located 6800 feet above sea level with one of the largest herds of giraffes in America! You can buy lettuce there for $5 and feed the giraffes yourself! Such a fun experience that I ended up buying $10 of lettuce hehe

Our local Zoo has more giraffes than in any Zoo in the world. The Zoo is hiden amongst the hillside of Cheyenne Mountain and gives many of our guests a wonderful view of wildlife!

We really enjoyed our time at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. The zoo is located up the mountainside and contains several attractions and eateries as well as animal shows (only during certain times). They had giraffes, gorillas, birds, elephants and much more! We didn't stop by any of the eateries (other than for a water and some dippin' dots). We paid a little extra for the trip up on the mountaineer sky ride. The ride gives you a wonderful view, but there's nothing at the top that's all that interesting.
