Colorado Springs Holidays

Colorado Springs has come a long way from its history as a mining town and famed experimental home-base of Nicola Tesla. Perched at the base of towering Pike's Peak, environmental extremes are mirrored by cultural extremes: this city, the second largest in Colorado, is home to some of the most politically conservative and liberal residents in the ... country. The United States Airforce Academy, Focus on the Family, New Life Mega-church and the (very liberal) Colorado College (and their nationally-ranked hockey team) all call Colorado Springs home. This dynamic and varied populace makes for a city supercharged with energy and pride, yet distinctly Coloradoan -- with a love of everything outdoors; the spirit of exploration permeates every aspect of life in the shadow of Colorado Springs' western frontier, its behemoth Pikes Peak. Nightlife and tasty restaurants abound on Tejon St. Don't neglect old-town Colorado Springs, which provides a historic alternative to the modern-day downtown. Whether you're looking for an extreme outdoor experience hiking at the Garden of the Gods or climbing Pike's Peak (whether on foot or by train) or a nice, quiet spa/golf weekend retreat at The Broadmoor resort, the Springs (as the locals affectionately call it) offers the finest in man-made and natural entertainment and relaxation.

towns, Colorado Springs’ peak season is in the summer, when out-of-towners flock here for the outdoor festivals and warm weather. Hikers and whitewater rafters should visit in the spring just after the snow melts, but be sure to check that your hotel is open: many close down for the winter. Fall is also an excellent time to visit since the leaves begin to change and hotels reduce their prices.

Fire lasted for around 2 weeks, the fire departments did a good job in keeping it from spreading and maintained it, the photo was taken behind Pro Power Rooter plumbing and drain cleaning in Colorado springs.

Colorado Springs is Colorado's second biggest city. Home to the Air Force Academy and Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs enjoys a splendid natural setting. It also serves as the conservative counterpoint to Boulder in this purple state's ongoing culture war.

US Olympic Training Center is enjoyable for those with sporting interests. Air Force Academy is an expansive installation which is great to tour especially the chapel. Garden of the Gods is so enjoyable to walk around and be inspired by nature. Colorado College is an enjoyable stop between all the other locations.

A beautiful city surrounded by lush greenery, mountains and plain fields. Home of the United States Air Force Academy and the U.S. Olympic Training Center. Friendly folks in the city and a refreshing breath of clean air here. A good place to stop along I-25 during a road trip.
