The Chinese have long considered their nation to be the center of the world. In fact, the Chinese character for 'China' is a box with a vertical line running through it, symbolizing the center of the world. Recently, China has opened its borders to visitors on a scale never seen before. Many of the top destinations in China – Beijing, Shanghai, Xi’an, Guilin, Guangzhou and Hong Kong – have been revitalized and groomed for Western visitors over the past two decades (including a government-sponsored initiative to clean up badly translated signs in Beijing before the 2008 Olympics). This nation has undergone great political and economic upheaval since the fall of the Qing Dynasty in 1911, having seen a revolution and a communist takeover. ... Read more
However, the Peoples’ Party’s grip on the nation has loosened over time. Visit the looming Forbidden City in Beijing to see the ancient seat of the Chinese Empire or go to Guilin to see the iconic scraggly mountains poking up from the limestone earth. Wherever you choose to go in China, be prepared to deal with large crowds in the worlds most populous country, but that shouldn’t detract you from visiting – it is truly a remarkable experience.
This massive country’s climate is extremely diverse, ranging from tropical, mild climates in the south to subarctic climates in the north. Most visitors try to avoid typhoon season (July to September) on the southeast coasts and the summer months of Central China, whose hot, humid weather earned the three Yangzi cities of Chongqing, Wuhan and Nanjing the nickname as China’s three “furnaces.” The best time to visit is in spring or autumn when the weather is most mild and tourist attractions are less crowded (except the first week of October, a national holiday). If you’re visiting in the spring, work your way from south to north or west as summer approaches, and vice versa in autumn.

Solo females weren't "afraid of bodily harm or manipulation as a female." It's advised to "dress conservatively especially outside of tourist areas and big cities" and some felt that "people are friendliest in the countryside."

No major advice for travel to China other than 'don't be flamboyant'.

I write this blog down to memorize my trip to Sichuan,China. It’s a relax trip escaping from work pressure. It’s also a trip to catch my star.
I know a Chinese singer and I liked he 2 years ago.His name is Zhangjie, also known as JasonZhang.I knew he firstly by my Chinese teacher when I was in a online Chinese lesson ,learning Chinese by Chinese songs. Then he becomes my idol till now. I searched everything about he.And my favorite song of him isyekongzhongzuiliangdexing(the brightest star in the sky).Athoutgh I can't clearly understand the lyric,I still moved. So I want to go to China to experience.I attend the Chinese travel lesson at the same time.Learning Chinese ,preparing to go to China is not so easy .Finally I was proved to make a right choice.
The place I went to is Sichuan province where Jason was borned.I saw sunset at Dujiangyan and sunrise at Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interst Area.
The food in Sichuan is delicious but spicy and the girls there is hot(Sichuan is also known as the province with beautiful girls). And in China ,spicy and hot all said in the same word la辣.It's really interesting. And i even went to see panda! They were so so so so so cute :P
I stayed there 10 days, the lifestyle in Sichuan is a mixed one.Modern and Old.You can get convenient service and do things in a hurry, or you can also choose to be slow, take a whole afternoon to drink a cup of Chinese tea and see Chinese playing chess under the tree. The pub there cannot be missed ,too.I experienced various lifestyle in just 10days ,made me feel like I just lived again.
The next year my plan is to Yunan province,China where Jason married. Thanks to he ,I know so many about the fabulous China.

The world's oldest continually-existing civilization (or so the press goes), China is huge. Geographically huge, culturally huge, culinarily huge, and -- increasingly -- economically huge. Relatively cheap and endowed with a great (and ever-modernizing) rail network, China is a great place to splash out for long-term travel, be it a month, two months, or more. There's fabulous mountains in Yunnan and Tibet and Anhui Province, pulsing nightlife in Shanghai, Chengdu and Beijing, and some of the tastiest food on the whole planet (get used to using the pointing system to order). It may at times be a rather coarse place (spitting! shoving!), and big swaths of it are positively unloveable (Changsha, anyone?), but a single day in the garden city of Hangzhou or trekking Tiger Leaping Gorge will make it all seem worth it.

China is huge in size, most people know China from medias talking about Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shenzhen etc. Some untouched places rarely get revealed. Culture and custom are very diverse from north to south, east to west. Not many know a tropical island in China called Hainan, and Sanya very resorty place like Cancun or Hawaii, Bali or Phuket. Ethnic tribes, minorities, farmers, fishery people, even maternal groups... Also has the world class luxury resorts, world championship golf courses, yacht. Fresh sea food and Chinese cuisine from fancy restaurants to yummy diners, make your trip a wonderful experience.
