Why Go

Once the haven of pirates like Blackbeard due to the prolific number of coves and caves, today the Cayman Islands provide tourists with unparalleled relaxation and good vibes. Located south of Cuba in the Caribbean, the Cayman Islands are rich in sea life and reefs, making it a hotspot for divers across the globe. The main luxury hotel drag along Seven Mile Beach is great for laying out, playing water sports or jogging, but venture out a bit to get a real taste of the islands. Snorkel at “Stingray City” where you can pet and interact with dozens of domesticated stingrays, or scuba dive amongst shipwrecks, coral reefs and, most famously, the dramatic wall dive of Bloody Bay Wall. world, where rehabilitation of the turtle population prevents them from going extinct. Be aware that the Cayman Islands are expensive, so be prepared to pay top dollar for accommodations and dining (which, luckily, is excellent).

The Cayman Islands is one of the main cruise stops along the Caribbean. While there isn't anything particularly cultural about the island, it is clean and it's easy to get around. Plus, the seafood is pretty good.
