This is a pretty cool place .. it is the situated in the highest elevation in Cartagena, so you will have a commanding view of the entire city.. this place charge an entry fee (i don't know why) also no guide available you are on your own. Once you enter the convent a beautiful court yard welcomes you. They have a few articrafts around, including a collection of foreign money ( i thought that was cool). The views are simply amazing you can see all the interesting point and neighborhoods. It is a cool place to relax and chill..

La Popa is a must visit when in Cartagena. About a 20 minute cab ride from Old Town, one can spend an hour here soaking in the view of Cartagena and learn about the history of La Popa. A Convent still active today, with beautiful architecture and scenery to take some lovely photos at!

Very nice scenic spot overlooking Cartagena. There is a nice colonial chapel at the top of the mountain, and the views are great. It is also quite a bit cooler than Cartagena with a nice breeze, which can be a pleasant break from the sometimes oppressive heat in the city

Cerro De Popa is a Monastery on the top of the hill over looking all of Cartagena. It is a great place to get a view of the city and the beach.

The monastery is a nice place to get some some history of the area. There are a lot of local tour buses who go the place. Outside of the area is a some good street food worth eating.

The area is a LARGE contrast compared to the downtown and old town of Cartagena here.

It is greatly worth going here for the view of Cartagena alone.
