The village in downtown Carlsbad is full of boutique clothing shops, antique stores, restaurants, coffee shops and a chocolate shop.If you enjoy shopping it is a fun way to spend several hours.
There is also a few restaurants that have live bands playing at night. The music usually stops sometime around 10:00 pm.

At first I thought this place was full of old white people, but upon closer inspection I realized that the other name for Carlsbad Village is "the barrio." it has a lot more culture than one would expect from walking down Carlsbad Village Boulevard but if you go further inland - say to the other side of Interstate 5 - you will find that this village's unique character is more cosmopolitan than any other in North County.

Carlsbad Village keeps bringing me back in – I've lived here a few times now, and love everything about it. There are some real gems for places to eat, drink, and go out. Not to mention the beautiful beaches, and the parking isn't bad at all for a beach town!

The most European Style Area in Carlsbad. Made for strolling, eating, shopping, relaxing and just enjoying another beautiful day by the Sea!

A fun, Bohemian esque beach town, Carlsbad already has its appeals: beautiful coastline, top notch dining, local grub favorites, a laid-back vibe. Carlsbad Village perpetuates that, wraps it up in a package, and serves it strong. Bars, karaoke pubs, open air dining, and mom and pop shops are concentrated in the village, while an eclectic, freestyle atmosphere of art, culture, and music permeate the surroundings (fire hydrants painted to look like lighthouses, "take one" bunches of flowers, etc.) Plus, the beach is never far from the main streets.

Carlsbad Village is the quaint downtown section of Carlsbad that hugs the Pacific Ocean coastline. It's best to park your car in the village, and set out on foot. There are antique shops, art galleriers, boutiques for men, women, and children, clothing stores, restaurants and a terrific ambiance that is difficult to put into words.

Halloween in Carlsbad village was a blast for the kiddos. We started with a family yoga class and then trick or treating around the neighborhood. They had a band, lots of samples of goodies, fire trucks and police cars to view, and so many happy kids.

First time to visit this place and I was delighted. Stopped by for some coffee and ice cream. I'll have to come back when I have more time to check out all the other shops and walk around.
