For an unforgettable Spa experience and great dining - the 12 Apostles Hotel and Spa is less than 1km from Oceana-Residence.

New York City

If you want to enjoy Cape Town without staying in the center of the city, the 12 Apostles Hotel is the perfect alternative. This old farmhouse, which has been extensively enlarged, has a remote location outside of Camps Bay. The hotel has classically styled rooms, two outdoor pools, a spa, two restaurants, and a perfect spot for sundowners. And their shuttle service will bring you to the Camps Bay beaches or the V&A Waterfront.

Not sure why you can review this separately from the hotel and spa together, but what I said in the other review applies! It's fab!

This is a fabulous hotel (although I’m a little biased towards any place where the doorman greets me wearing a pith helmet). The decor is massively risky; from the candy stripe carpet, to the kitsch leopard bar, but for me it all works a treat! Perched on a cliff half way between Camps Bay and Hout Bay, the hotel’s sea-facing bar is a favourite amongst locals for the ubiquitous ‘sundowner’. It’s definitely on the upper scale of pricing, but for that you get attentive service. I mean, you can even have popcorn brought to you in their in-house cinema. Some might worry that the 15 mins drive makes it too far from town, but I’d argue the coastal drive back and forth will be a highlight of your stay in Cape Town. The spa is legendary and luxurious, even if the faux cave walling of the jacuzzi area is somewhat over the top. This is probably one of the coolest places you could stay in Cape Town.
