They have a beautiful beach and a nice large outdoor area with pool and plenty of activities. On the downside, on many of the restaurants they were lacking of detailed attention that you would expect of an all inclusive hotel.
My best friend and I had our very first friendship vacation here and it was fantastic! As it is an all inclusive, we didn't have high expectations for food (as I've stayed in many and they were always just okay) but it was decent! They have an Italian place which was surprisingly good, a Japanese restaurant and a traditional Mexican (try the ceviche)! They also have mini little outdoor places to get snacks and there was where we actually ate quite a lot due to it being so tasty. Get the shrimp and fish tacos!! Heaven!
The staff was incredible and it isn't a child/teenager/spring break heavy hotel, which was actually why we chose this hotel. If I'm not mistaken, I think they actually refuse those under a certain age around spring break time to avoid that scene. The drinks are good and the location was amazing. We are already making a plan to return here soon!
The Cancun trip exceeded expectations on just about every front, food, location, beach, drinks, pool, staff, cleanliness, and weather. We ALL had a great time. It was wonderful, and we all talked about going back, maybe even next winter.
The food was very good for an all-inclusive. Breakfast was fantastic! They have two food service areas where you can get eggs made to order including egg-white omelets. The fresh juices are superb, especially the fresh squeezed OJ! They even had a station with champagne for mimosas.
For lunch, the outdoor open-air restaurant near the beach had very good fish tacos, ceviche, and great chips and guacamole! Multiple places near the pool served burgers, hotdogs, ribs, chicken, etc.
Dinner offered four options: a Mexican restaurant serving regional delicacies, a fancy Italian restaurant, which doesn't allow kids under 13 after 7 pm, a pan-Asian restaurant with sushi, Thai and Japanese food. The only disappointment was the dinner buffet, and that is only because I am not a fan of all-you-can-eat buffets (the food was fine).
Good location - but food only okay. Drinks watered down. But the city was fun to walk.
I toured this resort as a travel agent Nov. 2011 and was very impressed. The food was great, the rooms are pretty, they have a bi-level pool separated by a waterfall, the grounds are lovely. Great 4.5 star all inclusive resort!
