Camp's Bay is the home of Cape Town's beautiful people. On the western edge of Table Mountain, just around the escarpment from the City Bowl, it's where hot, tanned, rich girls and boys drive Ferraris, eat at upscale restaurants along the drag, go clubbing in places that care what your shoes look like and, most importantly, hang out on the Clifton beaches, looking stunning. It's a bit of a 'scene', to be sure, but every scene has its place.

Our favorite part of Cape Town. A lovely, relaxed, seaside area. A good place to slip into vacation mode. The main strip has a number of nice restaurants and coffee shops. The beach here is long and the views of the surrounding hillside are fantastic. Well worth leaving the city center to visit.

Camps Bay is a nice little town with the backdrop of the Table Mountain to the west and also the Lion Head mountain on the north. The beach was at low tide so we walked to see the rocks exposed.
