Established in 1929, the Calgary Zoo is one of the first zoos in Canada, and it’s currently the country’s second largest zoo.

Lots to explore and see! Great for a family day to get everyone out. I had plenty of fun and lots to look at, many fun memories with the whole family.

It is home to almost 800 animals, excluding individual fish and insects, and 130 different species. The 120-acre zoo is organized by into six distinct zones: Destination Africa, Canadian Wilds, Penguin Plunge, Dorothy Harvie Botanical Gardens and ENMAX Conservatory, Eurasia, and Prehistoric Park.

We've been to a few zoos in different cities, but this was one of the best experiences by far. My daughter loved the penguins! Pretty good price at 25 CAD for an adult ticket.

Excellent zoo concentrating on cold climate animals. The highlight for me were the snow leopards.

This is a chance for you to see some animals that are soon going extinct. I loved it there it was very fun. Even thought there was a lot and want I say a lot I meant ALOT of wasps. Good thing I didn't get stun. Anyway bring the kids over there's do have a fun time before they are all gone forever.

The Calgary Zoo is one of my favourite places to spend a few hours. Crowds are lightest on weekday afternoons.

Bring your kids. Tigers, elephants, deer, antelope, eagles, wolves and more. You'll even catch a glimpse of dinosaurs.

This is a large and very good zoo with well organized areas for the different animals, reptiles, etc. The one fun thing lacking were penguins but that changed in 2012.
