This might be one of my favorite hotels ever. It's a smaller boutique hotel with a clean, beautiful design in a great location. You're within walking distance to many things, and the staff is more than willing (and knowledgeable enough) to help you figure out where to go. To say my Spanish is bad would be an understatement, but the entire staff was more than willing to help us in our native English. The rooms are very nice, breakfast is included, and they even have bikes you can borrow. I can't say enough good things about this place. Every bit of our stay was awesome, and I don't think my Buenos Aires experience would have been half as good without them.

If I had to live in a hotel, it'd be this one. Casa Calma is so focused on wellness that even the entrance has a lovely smell I couldn't quite identify. The hotel has a green theme and green walls on every floor, including the rooms. Plants hang from the exterior and give a lovely view, which would normally consist of nothing but grey business buildings. There's a jacuzzi in every room, and due to lack of space, breakfast is delivered to everyone's room because the café area is so tiny. The neutral tones in the bedrooms and bountiful natural light emanating from the big windows are very soothing. Because it's a boutique the service is quite personalized and the staff is always there to make sure you have a quality experience. No matter how stressful your day in Buenos Aires, Casa Calma will have you feeling relaxed in no time.

This hotel – a Zen haven, really – was amazing. Starting with the vine-covered exterior and Dido playing in the lobby, I immediately felt at peace. The first thing you see when you walk into your room is a luxurious double Jacuzzi (the double refers to the two seats inside the tub) next to two elegant sinks, spaced far from each other to give you (and your partner) plenty of room to wash up and prim. Hairdryers, towels, bathrobes, and bath products are also supplied. There is no restaurant, but an Honesty Bar where you can take your pick from coffee, tea, pastries, and various alcoholic beverages, and write down your selection on a board, to be charged later. (I’d half expected there not to be any alcohol, considering the mind/body health nature of the hotel, and so was pleasantly surprised to see there was. A staff member even went so far as to ask me if there was a particular kind of drink I’d like and couldn’t find – if so he’d happily procure it for me).

This hotel was amazing! As soon as I walked in, I felt “calm.” The staff introduced themselves with their first names and asked me for mine, which was a special, personal touch. The grass covered wall in the entrance was designed by an Argentine landscapist, a personal friend of the hotel owner who happens to be an architect. All this information I got from the staff upon arrival. They were really proud of working in the hotel and it shined through. The breakfast area had snacks available all day under the “honesty bar” system, whereby each guest noted down what they ate and drank throughout the day. The incredible trust the staff bestowed was the perfect way to make me feel at home. Two final things worth nothing were the old-style bicycles that the hotel rented out and the private saunas in some of the rooms. Gorgeous!

Very good Place in a central area with an enjoyable organization to let you forget the noise and stress of the city. Huge rooms, just 2 for each floor, incredible bath and very good staff. It maybe needs a bit more of maintenance but still is a very good choice.
