Each room I visited was more beautiful than the last – I was amazed by how lovely and unique each was. A spiraling iron staircase takes you to the seven rooms in the hotel, passing various terraces and small gardens along the way. The hotel also includes a fully equipped kitchen, small dining room, a few computers, and a living room stocked with books and a grand piano. The only inconvenience I could find was how small the bathrooms were. Otherwise, I loved the art nouveau style and familiar vibe (since there are only seven rooms, the atmosphere feels quite intimate while allowing guests to have their privacy). I also liked the typically Argentinean breakfast that comes with the price, which includes medialunas, tostadas, and dulce de leche.

Every single room in this hotel was it’s only little treat. There was one room I looked at which had its own little kitchenette inside, another room which had a private terrace patio and two rooms on the first floor, which could be combined into a double suite for people traveling with children or in groups of four. What I really liked about this place was the unique quality of each room and the personal touches all around the building. One of the bed designs was really unusual, the bed almost disappeared inside a wooden frame, which acted like a kind of comfy enclosure. I also loved the bright, airy decor. Everything was really pretty, really unique and inspired me to feel really creative. The huge fruit selection which was laid out for breakfast also tempted my taste buds.

The Cocker changed it's name to Hotel Boutique Bonito, but it's the same place. It is a beautiful guesthouse in a gorgeous old home in the San Telmo area, a bit far away from other things, but accessible easily by bus. Marble stairs, dark stain wood accents, really artsy, cool accents and antiques throughout- be sure to check out all the unique chandeliers! Rooms are lovely and cozy, with nice beds, lots of windows, and unique touches in each room, like the stencils on the walls. The bathrooms are really tiny though, and the shower is only delineated by a plastic curtain, so the whole bathroom floor gets wet when you shower and has to be squeegeed. The living room and kitchen are just like being at home, beautiful and really well equipped and clean. There is a charming little balcony where you can have breakfast, though the street is a bit noisy.

A cute little boutique hotel in a gorgeous old house in San Telmo.
This place has a very friendly feel and you’ll feel really at home. The interior design suits the arty bohemium feel of San Telmo and I loved the Quilmes artwork on the walls.
The lounge area has a grand piano and some cool furniture. It is a little small though but the balcony off the lounge makes up for that!
You can cook your own meals in the hotel’s well-equipped kitchen. It is really spacious and has everything you need to prepare something. Breakfast is served round an intimate dining table and it’s very cosy. The breakfast is varied and the staff will cook up eggs if you want them.
The rooms are a good size and beautifully designed. However, the bathroom is tiny and doesn’t have a proper separate shower basin.
