Local from Buenos Aires

I was extremely impressed with this hostel’s customer service. The second I walked in, the two receptionists basically dropped everything to show me around and make me feel welcome. Because there are only nine rooms, it’s a small and intimate hostel in which guests (generally young backpackers) can get to know each other fairly well by cooking together in the kitchen or making use of the grill in the outdoor courtyard. To maintain a peaceful atmosphere, there’s a no-noise policy after 1 am…but those looking to have some fun need just walk around the block to find one of the many bars in Palermo Soho. Just another feature of this hostel’s good vibe: in the courtyard, guests are invited to make use of a phone to make free local calls. One of the receptionists also offers a “Grafitti Tour” of Buenos Aires, an original activity I hadn’t heard of until then! I loved this place’s vibe and immediately felt comfortable in this hostel.

Local from Buenos Aires

This is a really great hostel and very reasonably priced. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, and they plan trips, have a lot of connections all over Buenos Aires, and love to suggest things to do, eat, or where to go out. It's clean, in a great area, and comfortable. There's a little outside terrace where you can work or socialize, breakfast, coffee (almost at all times!), and you can use the kitchen to cook yourself a meal. I'd definitely stay there again.

I loved this place! There’s only eight rooms in total, which for a hostel is pretty small and intimate. The result was a really homely feel and personalised service. There was free coffee on tap in reception all day long, a cute little patio area in the middle of the property and a really well-equipped kitchen. The guy at reception was really helpful with everything - with future travel plans and with getting the most out of Buenos Aires. They sold beer and other drinks for reduced prices in the hostel fridge and you put everything on your tab to pay for at the end of your stay, which created a super relaxed feeling among the guests. There was even a private room with a private bathroom, which would be perfect for anyone who wanted a little bit of privacy.

Bait is a very popular hostel! Everyone in Buenos Aires seems to know it and recommend it. It's pretty small, only a few dorms and a few private rooms, but most people hang out in the common room. The kitchen is totally equipped with everything including an oven, and once the staff made an amazing dinner event, cooking up a storm for the guests! Aside from being excellent cooks, the staff was just so friendly, welcoming, funny and knew everything about the city and all the local hot-spots, especially Melvin! It's a great place to meet other travelers, and a very social place at night when everyone has a drink at the bar (open all day with snacks too). Maybe not the quietest hostel, but cozy, fun, relaxed, social, clean and comfortable- everything you really want in a hostel.

This place has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and is a good place to stay for making friends and finding your feet in Buenos Aires. It’s a sociable place so expect noise and parties, don’t stay here if this isn’t for you.
It has a well-equipped kitchen and ok sized lounge and eating area. This is quite a small place though and the lounge should be bigger considering the capacity. The bar serves local beers and you can get food. Staff are really friendly and will seem like friends by the end of your stay.
The shared rooms are a little cramped but things are kept quite clean generally. Cute outside patio area downstairs.
Highlight is the surrounding neighbourhood: lots of places to go out at night and pretty safe.
