Best view in the city. Take your out of town friends here and blow them away. Actually even the people that live in NYC will be blown away. Then head on down to Brooklyn Bridge Park and hang out. Look at that I just made your plans. I should get paid for this.

You have to come to Brooklyn to walk along the Promenade. Enter from Montague street (nice restaurants) and walk towards the Brooklyn Bridge. Then stop and sit down and people watch and also think about all of the movies done here. Oh, and the view of Manhattan is not bad either.

The Promenade is one of the absolute best spots to view the skyline. It's a great place to walk off dinner during a date.

Private and stunning scenic lookout if you want to sneak a peek of the ever so wonderful skyline of the busiest city in the world. A free, charming spot in the heart of Brooklyn that will take you far away from tourist traps (such as Top of the Rock or Empire State Building - which also obviously deserve their fare share of glory). If I lived in New York I'd return here again and again for a piece of the calm in a yet very bustling but incredible city.

You have to got to this place. Going to New York without spending a day in Brooklyn is not an option. Please go and be happy!

The perfect place to get a vantage of lower Manhattan, easy to get to from the bottom of the Brooklyn Bridge or from either the High Street stop (A/C), Clark Street (2/3), Court Street (R), or Borough Hall (2/3/4/5 - a slightly longer walk). Lots of nice eateries and snack places nearby in Brooklyn Heights.

A lovely place for a stroll complete with gorgeous views of lower Manhattan. Not quite as stunning as Brooklyn Bridge Park but worth a visit and an easy extension if you plan to spend the day on this side of the water.

Chances are if you have ever seen a shot of the skyline of Manhattan it was taken from this famous vantage point across the East River along the Promenade. Its great for romantic walks, jogs, dog walking or sitting with a good book.

Simply an amazing spot to rest and take in the view of Manhattan, Governor's Island and the Statue of Liberty. If Macy's moves July 4th fireworks back to the East River, this is the perfect viewing spot.

This is one of the better views of the Downtown skyline and there's a nice walk along a trail. Brooklyn Heights is nice to explore and a walk along the Brooklyn Bridge is nearby.

I think Brooklyn Heights Promenade beats out Central Park. The promenade is much easier to get to and then navigate. Food trucks abound (beyond the overpriced pretzel or hotdog). New developments include ball fields, playgrounds, and gardens. You're sure to see a few wedding parties haven their photos taken with the Manhattan skyline and East River in the background.
