The Freedom Trail had so many amazing places to stop at. It was also a great way to not get lost.
A great historical experience as Boston is a small enough city to walk in a day.
I really wondered whether to spring for the formal tour or just do the Freedom Trail myself and I was so thankful I went for the tour. The docent was excellent, super knowledgeable, flexible, funny and dramatic. She also interwove contemporary political situations in with the past to show how somethings have changed dramatically (or not at all).
Although we didn't go to all the sites on the Freedom Trail the ones we did go to were ones I would not have valued unless I had someone who could explain the significance of the site to me. I found it a truly fascinating 90 minutes and wish it could have gone on longer.
Highly recommend!
Cool tour packed with soooo much history that you didn't know. It's crazy how knowledgable these tour guides are. They take you on a 90 minute guided tour and for $15 you can't go wrong. Plus if you had any questions they knew the answers.
Freedom trail is a nice walking tour of the historic Boston sights. It's quick and to the point. Not much time for looking around, we revisited some of the places we were more interested in. Our guide was great.
The Freedom Trail is a great way to stretch your legs and learn a bit about U.S. History in the process. Move like Dorothy and follow the brick path linking historical sites throughout Boston. The area by Paul Revere's House leads you past some great restaurants, bars, bakeries and churches too.
If you are an American history buff, you will really enjoy walking along the Freedom Trail in Boston. It takes you through all the famous spots that signify the American Revolution.
The Freedom Trail is an absolutely amazing way to see all parts of Boston and the rich history within. I'd recommend it to families and people who love the outdoors/history, whether you live here or not.
It was great to get out and about ... To see some of the very historic sites of the beginning of Americas fight for independence... One thing though... The success of this tour depends on your guide ... Our guide added his OPINION at times which was fine ... But had me saying "that's not true"
Crowded but it seemed like there was a lot of activities and food available throughout the trail.
This walk includes some of Boston's most famous and historic monuments. An excellent way to see Boston.
The Freedom Trail is a 2.5-mile-long path through downtown Boston, Massachusetts that passes by 16 locations significant to the history of the United States.
Really interesting if you enjoy reading, otherwise you'll probably just get lost with it all.
For someone like myself who hasn't studied in depth the history of the United States, it can be overwhelming just trying to comprehend even something such as the age of the architecture and monuments/sights (coming from a much younger country) which I think makes it so fascinating! Doesn't take too long but you can enjoy all the shops and cafes around the CBD landmarks to make a day it.
The Freedom Trail is one of Boston's highlights. It has several colonial facades, statues of famous influential people who made a significant impact before and after the Revolutionary War, and great stories told by inspired walking tour guides. All the components to satisfy a U.S. history buff or someone looking for a nice leisure walk.
