If you go to the current State House in Boston Make sure to take a walk around the perimeter. The grounds are very nice and you can see the different additions that have been put on. Also make sure to walk around Beacon Hill! It's a great historic neighborhood!

The Massachusetts State House is very beautiful. You can spot its gold done throughout the city.

Inside is equally impressive. Take a free tour of the state capital building and view the house and senate chambers! If you're exploring on your own, don't miss the Memorial Hall, the grand staircase, and look up at the dome.

If you're walking around downtown, it's hard not to find the State House - even if you aren't looking for it! Along The Freedom Trail and at the edge of Boston Common, you can poke around on your own or take a free tour and immerse yourself in history. Even if you've forgotten the history lessons from school, you're guaranteed to be reminded of why Massachusetts is called The Spirit of America.

The building is nice, but the common is much more fun! Stay inside the park and take a stroll into the public gardens.

Always good to visit the state capitol. Neoclassical structure designed by important architectural critic Charles Bulfinch. Nice city views.
