Revolutionary War. It was the site of speeches by Samuel Adams and his contemporaries, and has remained a relevant political site to this day with multiple politicians choosing it as a speech venue. Often referred to as “the cradle of liberty,” Faneuil Hall is one of the best known stops on Boston’s historical Freedom Trail. At present, the building is part of the larger Faneuil Hall Marketplace, which includes many businesses and restaurants.

Great architecture and history. Touristy shops inside, but absolutely worth the stop.

Great place in Boston to visit some history but also taste some of Boston’s best eats.

A "must do" area for visitors...and, yes, it will typically be crowded. Tourists and locals from the financial district frequent the restaurants and bars in Faneuil Hall. You can also start on your Freedom Trail walk from here.

There's tons of food and stuff to see around this area. I suggest getting lunch at Quincy market.

Faneuil Hall is the old town hall and meeting place, so it's steeped in history. It's a beautiful building and quite charming.

Budget friendly food court. There is something for everyone here. Everything under the heavens and so delicious. I love the authentic Mexican and the seafood and chowder. My hubby likes the desserts and Euros. Eat inside or out. In the good weather there are street vendors as well as street musicians and various entertainment. Shopping galore

Fanueil hall especially in the winter can be a really really pretty place. But even in the summer, it's such a cute little place to walk around for a little bit. (but heads up, it can get really hot inside Quincy Marketplace during the summer.)

Not a place for locals. McCormick and Schmicks are especially good for oysters and other seafoods, but they're a chain so go to Marliave by Park St for that

Super touristy spot, but offers a lot of food choices, shopping including souvenir shops/carts, and entertainment (with street performers and live music). Note nearby, drop into the Funusual store, for unique gifts!

This place is great, if you want a one stop place for food, drinks shopping and in the good weather, entertainment then Faneuil hall is where you want to go. It's about a 5 minute walk from the Haymarket subway line stop.
