of fluffy ducks. They find it in the first commissioned public gardens in the Untied States, the Public Gardens in Boston; located just across Charles Street from Boston Commons. And why wouldn’t you want to raise your family here? Blazes of blooming floral color and arboreal greens decorate the tranquil space. It’s home to the Frog Pond, where you can cool off in the hot summer months or skate on in the winter. For more than 130 years, the Swan Boats have been offering up fun and romantic rides that are an essential part of the Boston experience. That mallard family was in good company as well; about 120 different avian species (including mallards) have been identified within the 24 acres.

Much prettier than the Common, the gardens are a perfect place to have a walk during a nice day. They have a lovely pond, the Swan Boats (which are always a family favourite) and lots of areas of sitting and relaxing.

Great park, I find it better than commons. Lots of greenery and don't forget visit bench near river, remember good will hunting movie? Apparently one of the shoot was taken on these benches, called good will hunting seats.

Gorgeous greenery, rating a 4 star because it does not have public restrooms to use. Plenty of squirrels too!

Nice park. Some sences from the movie Good Will Hunting were filmed here. Not a small park but not to big either.

Much better kept up than Boston Common, the Public Garden is a great shortcut as well as a great place to relax and rest. Lots of shade as well as a small pond with swans and ducks (of Make Way for Ducklings fame), it has a real feeling of being the center of a community.

Great place to walk around with the whole family. In warmer weather, bring a change of clothing for kids. They can splash around the Frog Pond.

The Public Garden is a wonderful free park in the heart of Boston. It's the perfect place for a stroll through Boston Common.

In the winter, the lake freezes over and it is really beautiful after a snow fall. In autumn, the fall colors are gorgeous. In spring, the flowers are in bloom in the garden.

Don't miss the adorable swan boat ride, which runs through most of the year, but not in winter.

The Public Garden is a Landmark and a must see! Wether it's for the flowers in the spring, or the Swan Boats in the Summer, or to skate the pond in the Winter, the Public Garden is a majestic place you have to go!

In the spring and summer, the Public Garden is a most beautiful place to stroll or chill. Technically part of the Common, although separated by Beacon Street, the Garden has more flowers and less open space. Usually you can find a guy playing the sax, or a guy blowing up balloons. I recommend skipping the swan boats, instead look for Juliet and Juliet, the swan couple who live in the pond.
