I go to Northeastern University and the commons aren't that far of a walk away from campus. It's a really nice area to go to during all seasons, and I often find myself feeling much more relaxed after a walk around.

America's oldest park. Start the freedom trail here and follow it to the north end, all tourists gotta do that one day.

Boston Common is the beginning of the Freedom Trail. It is also the center of the city near multiple landmarks including the state house.

Love Boston Common - from the swan boats to the grassy lawns great for a picnic. It's perfect for a run, hanging out with kids, or just chilling.

You must walk through Boston Common on your first trip to Boston but it is not as great as Central Park.

A large open space that often hosts different activities or festivals. Some areas are nicer than others. The area around the fountain has a piano where students from the music conservatory play.

Pretty place to visit. You can walk around or just sit down and relax (great place to get a little tan in the city or have a picnic). Lots of history here. This is also the start of the Freedom Trail Tour as well.

Cool park with wicked old gravestones. Boston Common was founded in 1634 and has neat walkways.

Boston Common is my favorite place for stroll in Boston. It's a beautiful, centrally located park with plenty of benches, paved pathways, and lots of pretty trees that stunning in the fall. It's quite big and features a garden, a playground, a lake with swan boats, and don't forget Frog Pond. It's a children's splash wading pool in the summer and an ice skating rink in the winter.

Although the Boston Common is plenty popular, what is little known about it is that it usually hosts different festivals. Usually the events are for people of all ages but most of the time are enjoyed by college students like Hemp Fest. There are usually events year round and checking online would be a great way to see what times are best to visit.

It's a local hub spot that is always fun to relax at during the summer. Not so fun during the New England brutal winters.

Sure, everyone goes to the Boston Common, but everyone should! It's lovely park that is perfect for walking around, enjoying the weather (when it's nice) and taking in the sceneries. There's the lake with swan boats, and in the summer they have outdoor Shakespeare performances. Also, did you know this is the oldest city park in the US? It's historic, beautiful, and very centrally located accessible from two different T stops. There's always plenty of places to sit and relax.

One half of the pretty park downtown. Good for wandering around in the daylight. Less great at night.
