This hotel was actually quite disappointing. I guess I expected that since it was in the Financial District that the hotel would be a 5 star establishment but sadly it looks like a pretty standard hotel. The rooms felt a little small and it wasn't anything to be impressed about. They were clean though and the bathroom looked spotless. Rooms came with a desk and a television. It is in a very vibrant neighborhood and is close to the Seaport area and Faneuil Hall. Also, it is close to the ICA so fans of modern art would enjoy the place.

Flashy and fancy, both rooms and lobby. It's possible to have a view of the waterfront, which was pretty amazing - though the water view isn't spectacular and there's not much out there aside from Logan. The lobby and rooms are surely luxurious, with wide sweeping ceilings and tall windows. The staff falls a little short in geniality and the amenities vary little from your standard Marriot hotel. There's a restaurant attached that seemed pretty hopping though we preferred to venture to nearby downtown to eat. The Seaport district meanwhile remains an up and coming locale, with a few hip places to check out.

There are some great design features in this hotel. I love the fun color schemes in the room and the touches they've done in the lobby and bar area. Depending on which side of the building you're on, you can get some nice views of the harbor. Not too far away is where all the restaurant and bars of Seaport, including Barbara Lynch's trifecta (Menton, Sportello, Drink). They don't have an airport shuttle, though. You can take the Silver Line which drops off right around the corner from the hotel if you don't mind the bus. The Seaport area has been developing so there's a lot of great restaurants around (but not much shopping).

This is one of the few hotels I've been to where I've walked into my room and thought, "wow--I really like what they've done with the place." The room and lobby designs are fresh and modern, with pops of blue and orange back-dropped by a clean white canvas. The room views out over the harbor aren't too shabby either. The pool is gorgeous and the fitness center has an impressive array of machines and free weights. As far as location goes, the seaport has really come a long way in recent years and has become home to some great restaurants and bars. The only real downside is the lack of T accessibility, as the closest stop is about a 20 minute walk away and parking here is very expensive.
