I came here for a conference and it was such a lux venue. It’s everything I felt a high end hotel should be like and more. Great place to host an event

My hubby's firm has an office nearby so I love to come with him on business trips because we get to stay at the Beverly Hilton. I'll admit that otherwise I'd never stay here because it's pricey, but it sure is fun to live it up when I can.

I'm currently sitting by the pool area writing this review. Whenever we stay here I rarely leave the property because I love the atmosphere (and the hotel isn't really within walking distance of much of anything). The people watching is fantastic, and there's always something exciting going on! In the past I have been able to go into the ballroom the day before the Golden Globes, I've heard Lady GaGa doing a soundcheck before the GLAAD awards from my room's balcony, and I've seen a production crew filming "Ray Donovan" in the hotel restaurant. Today's excitement was watching Kevin Hart stroll through the lobby!

Although the hotel is o ld (it was built in the 1950s), the rooms are very comfortable and elegantly appointed. I'm usually assigned a room in the Wilshire Tower and as a Hilton Diamond member, I get upgraded (most often to a junior suite, which just means a larger room with a wraparound balcony). There are thoughtful touches like complimentary Evian water in the in minibar, plush robes in the room, quality L'Occitane toiletries, a tablet that features a personalized message for your use, free and superfast high speed internet access, and the best hotel towels EVER (large and fluffy)!

The service is the real superstar here:excellent housekeeping staff and phenomenal front desk staff. I'm always treated like a VIP no matter how sloppily I'm dressed or how poor I look. That's the real Beverly Hills style service: the days depicted in "Pretty Woman" are a thing of the past -- everybody is treated with respect and courtesy. I can't say enough about the fantastic service all around at the Beverly Hilton.

There's a Starbucks in the lobby as well as a hotel restaurant that runs daily specials (like half price bubbly on Friday nights), but if you don't want to drive, you're pretty much trapped on property. The pool area is small yet swanky, with wannabe actors and screenwriters hanging out in hopes of being discovered.

I also love that the hotel uses INNCOM thermostats in the room. That means you can override the settings and get to the VIP setting which will keep your room ice cold. Google the instructions online if you wish to bypass the temperature regulator (you can get it down to 60 degrees if you're hot natured like me).

The view from some of the rooms leaves a lot to be desired, but you can catch a glimpse of the twinkling lights in the adjacent hills (just overlook the hotel's roof). Parking is close to $45 PER NIGHT but it's convenient, safe and easy.

I really like this hotel, especially when I'm not paying for it out of my own pocket.

Conference Spaces, Rooms, and Branding is a mess. Not worth for the price. It feels like a poorly-done Hilton. BEWARE of valet parking - took me 10 minutes to drop off and nearly 30 minutes to retrieve because of set-up.

The hype and history on this place is real. Home of several events per year that showcase it. Yet, if you're looking for a place to stay while visiting the area there are more affordable and accessible spots.

Amazing luxury hotel with tons of history. The pool is awesome and trader Vic's is perfect for dinner. The rooms leave a bit to be desired.

Overpriced and doesn't match up to the hype. Service was less than satisfactory. Not a good experience

This place is massive and can feel a bit impersonal but somehow manages to still deliver on style and a bit of Hollywood glamor. The rooms are a little dated and the staff can be unfriendly (especially at reception) but somehow the place still manages to be enjoyable. Ample eye candy at the pool.

Classic old style Beverly Hills look on the exterior, but very modern and well appointed on the inside. Convenient location heading right into Beverly Hills. Also convenient for access to Century City and West Hollywood. Service was fantastic. Check in/out seamless. Dont like the $38 overnight parking fee, but I guess that is basic standard across the area there. Would definitely stay again.

Classic hotel located in Beverly Hills where many celebrities have stayed, including Marilyn Monroe!
The breakfast had a lot of variety and tasted very fresh. Staff was friendly and helpful. Loved the movie screenings and seating area by the pool.

Built in the 50s the Beverly Hilton's outside architecture is uninspired ugly. Its interior is a tad more interesting. Nevertheless it remains one of LA's popular celebrity hangouts - certainly there's a better chance of seeing someone famous as you walk through the lobby than walking Hollywood Boulevard.

And so the Beverly Hilton joins Chateau Marmont in the annals of Hollywood history as being the location of celebrity death by misadventure. It was here that on 12 February 2012, singer Whitney Houston was found dead following a night out. No explanation for her death has yet been revealed, but the singer had a history of drug abuse. It's also where David Frost stayed while filming his infamous 1977 interview with former President Nixon.

Not just the venue for the Golden Globes or the final stop for Whitney Houston (the room she died in is not available). The Beverly Hilton is a nice hotel that offers lots of great amenities. My favorite thing about it is the central location -- quick and easy access to Santa Monica, Hollywood, Pasadena, etc. Rooms with king sized beds (overlooking Century City) are tastefully decorated in modern decor and are quite spacious with enormous balconies. The hotel lobby bar is a great spot for people watching.

A classic Beverly Hills landmark, the Hilton is lovably ugly. Trader Vic's is always entertaining, making this a hotel you will want to visit, even if you decide to stay elsewhere.

I love this old place!
It is centrally located in Beverly Hills and the home to the 1st Trader Vic's.
If you arent familiar with Trader Vic's it is the home of the original Mai Tai and all of their exotic drinks are wonderful.
I have stayed in both the Standard Rooms and Jr Suites and both are great.
This hotel is also the home of the Golden Globe Awards so my friends and I snuck into the ballroom where everything is held and tried to act like we belonged...
We were escorted out but you should do it if you get the chance!
