The Weinmeister is a special place. My delightful experience there was a rather topsy turvy affair, conjuring references to Alice in Wonderland. Why? Well, the hotel is full of gimics. First, there is the ever-so-curious unmarked entrance to the hotel - it's a wall full of graffiti, which most guests completely miss, and instead walk to some big windows looking for the way in. Upon entering, the oversized chairs in the foyer are as playful and mischievous as the receptionists; all of whom were consistently vibrant and helpful. The best surprise of all is upstairs at the spa. I had an excellent 30 minutes massage on a heated massage bed, with lavender aroma oils. With its location right in the center of Mitte, the Weinmeister is a highly recommended all around experience.
If you are looking for a hotel that can express how hipster and trendy Berlin is, this is the place to stay. From the graffiti entrance to the stylish lounge with oversized chairs, everything screams design boutique. The chairs are an anticipation for what you find in the room: a massive, oversized bed, that is the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep in Berlin. At the Weinmeister the staff is young and friendly, and there is a small wellness area for massage and treatments, plus a nice terrace with hot tub for private events.
Just off of the Weinmeisterstr u-bahn stop, this hotel is well-located near a shopping and transit hub, but more importantly is one of the most interesting hotels to stay at in Berlin. Weinmeister has done a lot to differentiate itself from the other multitudes of hotels in Berlin, by providing funky, oversized decor and amenities that other hotels skimp on. The suites feature art by local artists, and the hotel has a conference room for the business crowd. A really fun and different place to stay, this hotel would truly enhance your Berlin experience. Especially if you come as a couple, and get to use the Love Box...
The Weinmeister is geared towards business travelers in creative industries such as film and fashion, and it shows in its funky aesthetic. There is nothing "normal" about this hotel, with a lobby boasting towering Alice in Wonderland sized chairs, colorful modern paintings by local artists fixed over the bathtub, free "love sacks" in the larger rooms, and a spa with a sweeping view of central Berlin. It's situated (surprisingly) right off the Weinmeister stop on the U8, and within walking distance of bustling and touristy Alexanderplatz and hip Rosenthaler Platz.
Super cool trendy hotel and at great prices!!! Perfect location as well Probably the best hotel bed ever!
