The Saracen’s Head is the oldest public house in Bath. The building dates from 1713, and was built on the site of an older inn. Charles Dickens is said to have stayed at the pub, and even to have written some of his book The Pickwick Papers there. The Saracen’s Head has a classic, warm interior and a charming atmosphere. They’ve made the most of the antique features and it’s a lovely old English pub.
