fantastical architectural elements, which include fountains, seating areas and sculptures. Gaudi’s usual wavy, melting style is on full glorious display and augmented by intricate and colorful mosaics. The highest point in the park offers full vistas of Barcelona and the sea beyond.

There's a reason why I put wellness on the tag; it's caused we have to climb up (read walk) to get there, which I suppose it's a good exercise. Wuih. I just passed by through it using the amazing Barcelona Bus Touristic. It''s a clever name, isn't it?
Back to Park Guell, we have to pay to get inside. I didn't go inside, but a colleague of mine saying something which had meaning not worth. It was a personal opinion. I couldn't say further as I just looked from the outside. :)

An amazing example of Gaudi’s work. Get there early to beat the crowds and be able to take it in slowly and without haste, as it should be.

I’m writing this review after I visited the park for the second time. I opted for a paid entrance at the Pavilion again. It was probably bad timing for me because about half of the pavilion rooftop was under renovation. I’d say I shouldn’t have paid for the entrance and went around the free area instead. The free area is HUGE and there is a lot to explore. There are buskers along the walk paths too. Be prepared to climb up and down the hill. Or use the staircases of course. Good place to warm you up when you visit during the winter season.

It was quite a hilly walk up there so take the bus/drive. Buy ur ticket online ahead of time so u can get in at ur desired time because there's a long queue to buy the ticket there & u can only buy a ticket a couple of hours ahead due to the limited times slots for people going in. U may buy an electric guide to walk u through the park. Once in I enjoyed observing the different style of architecture. There were views of the city and load of flowers in the garden area. Besides taking loads of pictures @ selfies there wasn't much else to do there except rest in the garden or on the open court.

One of the best works of Gaudi. This park contains some iconic pieces of works by Gaudi which defines Barcelona. Most pictures you would see of Barcelona are from here if not from Sagrada Familia. A must visit site when you are in Barcelona.

You have to pay a bit to go here and there is not that much to see. Can get really hot and crowded in the summer time, which takes away the enjoyability of the place

This place is whimsical. Gaudi's insistence that the design integrate with the natural surroundings is impressive.

If you are a true backpacker make sure to rent a bike and bike your way up to bike guell and it was so much fun!

It is quite a hike but def. not for the faint hurt. MAKE SURE to buy your ticket online before hand because they def. sell out! It is so much fun!

Park Guell is one of the most interesting places to take a guided tour! There is so much to know about the design and history of it that a tour is definitely necessary if you care to understand better than just site seeing.

Another of Gaudi's masterpiece but this one comes with a hike. Parc Guell sits in the outskirts of the city. We took the tie bus there and we still had to hike up a hill, but it is worth it for the amazing views of Barcelona.

Definitely an artistic masterpiece. I arrived at noon only to realize the tickets sold allowed entry at 4pm. Worth the wait. But do book tickets online beforehand as only 400 people are allowed in every 30 mins.

Although we visited in the rain, the park has a great view of Barcelona and offers a great place to walk around and explore.

At 12 minutes by taxi and 25 minutes by bus , one of the most distinctive works of the great Architect Antoni Gaudi, where you could apreciate his concept and relation with the nature and the city.

If you are brave enough you can also walk here from the apartment. Park Güell is a must for all visitors to a Barcelona. Art lover or not, this is a beautiful space with views all over the city from the hill top and a great place to visit as a family. Lots of space for the kids to run and the ceramics are impressive. You can then take a walk around and have a picnic in some areas with benches.

The park is up at the top of the city so you can see a beautiful scenery through the top. I like the tilt pillars and the mosaic design

Local from Barcelona

Designed by architect Antoni Gaudi, this is the most famous of the city parks, filled with quirky stone sculptures, colourful mosaics and gingerbread-like houses. I used to enjoy coming here for picnics, hiking and listening to live music, however since the admission charges have been introduced, it's become more of just a tourist attraction rather than a city park enjoyed by locals. It's still a fascinating place to discover, however and offers lovely city views.
