Description
Welcoming upwards of 200,000 visitors each weekend, the Chatuchak Weekend Market (located adjacent to the Skytrain Kamphaengpecth Station) is a must-see during any visit to Bangkok. Each weekend, more ... Read more
than 5,000 vendors come to Chatuchak to haggle over nearly everything under the sun: from clothing to antiques, house wares, groceries and exotic pets. Come to eat, come to shop and come prepared to bargain, since none of the prices are fixed. Even more importantly, come prepared to get lost because the 35 square acre market is big; getting turned around or distracted by the excitement and chaos is common here.

My favorite place to shop while in Bangkok. Goes for miles - come hungry and prepared to shop until you drop!

I went with my family this time (I’ve been here a couple of times). Besides the heat, you can get great food and anything under the sun (especially for your new home).

This is definitely one of the best day markets in Thailand. The weekend market is MASSIVE and you can find just about anything here from delicious street food to trinkets and clothing. There are so many stalls it will make your head spin! Set aside plenty of time to travel up and down the dizzying maze that is the Chatuchak Market! Pro tip: if you’re looking to make a deal, wait until the end on Sunday. Expect bold prices and no haggling on Saturday morning.

An endless outdoor weekend market that has literally everything imaginable for sale (yes even pets!) I recommend going Friday night to beat the heat and the usual crowds during Saturday and Sunday. Also come on an empty stomach because the street food options are endless.

A real maze! One of the biggest weekend markets in the world and you can find pretty much everything here from pet to fashion, and sometimes weird stuff. Also great street food.

The flea market only opens during weekend, you can find almost anything you need from foods to clothing to souvenirs and many more, you can even sit down and have a beer when you're tired. You may spend a whole day just walking in the market and didn't realise the time

It’s hard not to end up at a gazillion markets when traveling through SE Asia, but this was easily one of my favorites. It’s huge and the quality and selection of products is just far better than what you can find elsewhere. My only regret was coming at the beginning, rather than the end, of my trip — there was so much more I wanted to buy!

We came at 07.30 am and the sellers just got ready for the market. Many kinds of souvenirs, food and drink, clothes, etc. Such a good place to see in Bangkok.

This is one of the largest weekend markets worldwide, popular with locals and tourists alike. It is a haven for shoppers with thousands of stalls selling anything imaginable but it is also a fun day's out for non-shoppers. The market is divided in various sections. I was most at home in the Art section and enjoyed walking amongst the various artists and art pieces.

Not the cheapest night/weekend market, but makes up with its huge size and collection of things. One can find many things from normal to weird here. Almost takes whole day to finish visiting it.

Chatuchak is a world apart. Surely not the cheapest place anymore to shop, but the amount of strange items on sale is always worth the visit

Enjoyed the variety of inexpensive crafts and local quick bites being sold. Not so much on the animals being sold thou.

Busy during the weekends, you can easily spend a whole day in the market, shopping and bargaining. Despite the low prices, you will still get quality material for your stash.

The weekend market is easily accessible by the skytrain. It's a must do if you're visiting Bangkok. Endless things to see and shop for and no shortage of street food options.
