Baltimore Holidays

Situated on Chesapeake Bay, the largest city in Maryland has been nicknamed “Charm City,” although its reputation has been dimmed in recent years by a high crime rate. The average tourist has little to fear, however. Home to Tupac Shakur, John Waters, the Star-Spangled Banner, and steamed crabs have in common, Baltimore is a historic and lively ... Read more
city. Jazz or shopping at the Inner Harbor, professional baseball at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, or a “Wire” tour of all the sites from the acclaimed HBO series, are all on offer as are a variety of museums and restaurants specializing in, yes, crab. The top sight is without a doubt, the National Aquarium. To stay the night, try the Hotel Monaco Baltimore.

time July lazily comes around, temperatures and humidity are soaring (along with hotel rates and crowds), reaching highs of 91 (33). Though snow is rare, winter in Baltimore can be dreary with little sunlight and bitterly cold winds, so be sure to pack extra layers; and no matter what time of the year you’re traveling, bring your rain jacket and boots since rain is common year-round.

I love coming to this city. So many things to do from the O's games, Ravens game, the aquarium, Inner Harbor, Fed Hill, you'll never be bored here. And don't forget to get your Old Bay Crabs as they won't be better anywhere else!

Local from Baltimore

So much happening here. Great history with plenty of local interest as well. If you are adventurous, stray beyond the harbor and enjoy some of the local neighborhoods.

Lots to do any time of year. The pathway along the inner harbor stretches on forever. It's safe and full of activity.

Baltimore is a charming city despite sometimes the bad publicity it receives from the media. The Inner Harbor is spectacular and the seafood, especially the crab cakes are the best in the country.

You will find unique art every step of the way. People are friendly. Every Restorant you go to you will find local artist art up on the walls not to mention the deco of the place. Families have many places to visit from museums to local shows and more... For the sport fanatics you have the Ravens football team and amazing stadium. I love coming here.

I had a wonderful time at the aquarium. They added a lot of new stuff since I was there last. They had a wonderful 15 minute free dolphin show. They also have 4d shows to watch which only cost $5. Your seat vibrates n everything!!! They have sharks that r amazing to c.

Was once one of the U.S.'s most important ports, and has played a vital role in the early history of the country. It has of late gotten a bad reputation as a dangerous city, but it has really improved. The inner harbor is quite lovely, and the aquarium is worth a visit for its own sake. It is an easy day trip from either Philly or DC so try to fit Baltimore into your plans

Truly one of the best kept secrets in the southern region of the U.S. So much to see from the architectural astonishing City Hall; north to where cool street art is visible in the art district; east to Pigtown, home of Charm City Wings & Waffles and some of the best chicken and waffles in Baltimore; south to the Inner Harbor where patrons can attend the New Year's Eve Spectacular and watch free outdoor live music and one of the best NYE fireworks shows on the east coast; and west to where history and beautifully colored historic facades emanate adjacent to well preserved cobblestone streets. A nice diverse selection of attractions also can be found throughout the city from museums to sporting events.

Terrific small size city for visiting. With the inner harbor, the aquarium and the train museum there is plenty too see and do. Small enough to walk around and see most of the sites
