Why Go

Think the opposite of a land-locked Middle Eastern oasis and you’ll get Bahrain. A tiny desert island in the Persian Gulf just a tad larger than St. Lucia in the Caribbean, Bahrain is separated from its mainland neighbors Saudi Arabia and Qatar geographically, politically and socially. Bahrain defies the expectations of most visitors with its unique blend of Arab culture, cuisine and hospitality with relaxed island life, where bikinis are accepted on the beach and alcohol is allowed by non-Muslims. With a 5000-year-old history, Bahrain offers ancient forts, Arab architecture and traditional souks (markets). Contrast that with plenty of Western fast food outlets, flashy spas and restaurants, and high-rise hotels, and you've got the medley ... Read more
that is Bahrain. One of the most popular things to do here is watch the Bahrain Grand Prix, a Formula 1 race that garners lots of attention from spectators worldwide.

Great countries with great people. The people are very friendly and good hearted. There is a very strong sense of community here and is very safe for visitors. It's always good to familiarize yourself with the basic customs to understand the culture when on a visit. Would suggest visiting in the winter months for the best weather (Dec - Feb).

I only been to two place in middle east, UAE and Bahrain. I didn't enjoy my time in Bahrain like I do in Dubai, regardless is a area play a role in the region. I was shock of their currency exchange, it take 3 U.S. Dollar for one Bahrain Dinars !!! This area is still somewhat conservative, but there's sign of some innovation and becoming slight more westernize, but still long way to go when it compare to UAE.
