By far my favorite local bar in Austin. With the best restaurant in Austin award under their belt I'd say my opinion is valid.

Fun place to visit for the atmosphere or alcohol. However, the food and coffee left me wanting more.

Easy tiger has delicious baked goods and sandwiches!! Their pastrami on rye was on point, and so was their pretzel and beer cheese! They also have a superb selection of beers on tap!

Go here if you like any of these things: amazing pastrami, brats, jumbo pretzels with good mustard, ping pong, outdoor hanging. It's at the end of 6th street and a good spot to start the night.

If you visit Austin, you MUST visit Easy Tiger. This riverside pub has a long list of local beers and the cheapest, best pretzel I've ever had in the States. This was easily one of my favorite places in Austin. Try and get a seat by the river. So lovely. So lovely. So lovely.

When the weather is nice, Easy Tiger offers a perfect patio to sit outside and sip on a beer. You can even play a few rounds of ping pong. Hungry? The kitchen offers housemate beer cheese, cheese plates from Antonelli’s, bratwurst and more. On your way out, make it a point to catch a view of a famous mural in town located a block away on the corner of I-35 and Sixth street.

Pretty good food. Has a awesome back beer garden area with ping pong and it runs along a creek so it's just a sweet little environment. If you're a beer lover, this is the one for you!

Trendy outdoor beer garden with pretzels and sausages! Great beer selection and a ping pong. There's also live music (like any bar on 6th St) on weekends

This is a great spot. Head downstairs for beer, brats, and other german delicacies that you won't find in other spots downtown. The beer selection is amazing, and they are located right on Waller Creek, so you can sit outside.

Downtown Sixth Street can be a nightmare of gritty dance clubs and overcrowded college bars. Thankfully, there's Easy Tiger, located on Sixth, just west of Interstate 35. It's a casual beer garden and bar that features plenty of indoor and outdoor seating (complete with ping-pong tables) overlooking Waller Creek, with an unpretentious atmosphere that's perfect for any casual night out. The draft beer selection is vast (and tasty) and all of bread (and oversized soft pretzels) are made in the in-house bakery. Everything is delicious (they recently received a nod from Food & Wine Magazine), but don't miss the beer cheese and housemade sausage.

I sniff out beer gardens in most cities I travel through because A) outdoor drinking is the best drinking, and B) Mmm...beer. Easy Tiger ranks up there with the best of them in my book (Which also include Frankford Hall in Philadelphia, if you're keeping track!). Easy Tiger busts out German baked goods like pretzels and breads alongside their meaty menu items like sausages and corned beef. All that salt is sure to have your parched tastebuds crying out for a sip, and the beer list here never fails to impress.

Great place for pastries and bread upstairs and sandwiches and a drink downstairs along Waller Creek. You can also play ping pong!

Good for beer and snacks on 6th st. Great bakery and pretzels, ping pong and board games while you drink.

Upstairs, you can pick up freshly baked giant pretzels, pastries and bread. Downstairs, enjoy one of their many beers on tap including local microbrews, take it out to their beer garden and challenge your friends to a game of ping pong.

Easy Tiger's full name is Easy Tiger Bake Shop and Beer Garden. I was told that the baguettes and batards here were very close to those one could get at a boulangerie in France. Firstly, American baguettes and French baguettes will always be different because our flour is not the same. (At least in Austin, I have not found a grocery store to import flour - I mean can you even? moving on..) That being said, I was very pleased by the quality of the bread, it's freshness and especially it's taste. So if you're an ex-pat or just longing for something that will bring you a little wisp of France, this is the place. Go early in the morning - so far as I know they only make one round every day. The bakery offers croissants and pain au chocolats as well as some danishes. The croissants look good, but I will have to investigate and I see if they are loaded with sugar or not. I tried one of Easy Tiger's pastries called Tiger's claw - a very interesting and intriguing pastry. It had a pecan filling with cumin and a hint of cinnamon (I'm probably missing a spice). It is pretty rich, I will say.
If you're looking for information on the beer garden, I will say that it had a large area a level below the street with a nice terrace.
Easy Tiger is also located right where IH 35 and 6th street meet - it's right across from The Boiling Pot.

Bakery + Beer garden with 30 beers on tap + Ping ping on the water = my favorite place ever. Shady patio with occasional live music. Homemade pretzels are amazing.

If you are a beer drinking girl, then you will love this place. Located on dirty 6th, close to the highway this beer joint has about 40+ beers on tap or in bottles and has plenty of outdoor seating andeven a couple of ping pong tables as well. They also serve some great casual food like pretzels and sandwiches. From here it is an easy walk to the East side, Rainey Street or anywhere else downtown.
