I loved this hotel, but it might not be for everyone. It is smack-dab in the middle of the Plaka district, literally a stone’s throw from the heart of the main shopping, dining and sightseeing of Athens. It is a simple hotel – small and clean with basic amenities. I loved the view of the Acropolis from the room – and looking out over the rustic rooftops of the nearby apartments and buildings. The room was reminiscent of a villager’s cottage, rustic and homey. WiFi is included, breakfast is not, but can be enjoyed on the charming rooftop patio, edged with pots of flowering plants, looking out towards the Acropolis. This is a perfect place to retire to after running around Athens all day, and before heading out again for the night!

At the top end of Adrianou street at the very beginning of the shops in Plaka is where this quaint, clean, simplistic and oldschool hotel is located. Being a fan of the old greek 60’s and 70’s vibe, I experience this hotel as if it’s on a greek island but with a front row seat to the Acropolis. Twilight zone? Maybe. The small but clean and functional bathroom is in a moderately small sized room with beds from the ‘old’ era. Nothing is fancy here but I’m in love with it! The roof top is surrounded by plants, tables, chairs and a large Umbrella and the view is panoramic. Free Wifi everywhere places the hotel in the year 2012, but for me, It's all about the atmosphere!

This place is right beside the shops and restos. Very nice to walk around. Staff are very helpful. Clean and comfy. Ask for the room with the view of the mountain! That is spectacular! I wish the internet were free though.
