When you're a first timer at Disneyland, this is the place to go for a photo opp. It is definitely a nice castle with lots of ducks floating around!

Not the biggest Disney castle but it’s the original and it’s beautiful. Great for photo opps.

This castle is center stage in the Disneyland park. A walk through the castle will tell the story of princess Aurora. The castle also contains a few gift shops with mostly princess merchandise. A picture in front of the castle is a must.

Not sure if a lot of people know, but you can actually walk inside the Castle. Most people just walk through it and have their picture taken in front of it but inside is the whole story of Sleeping Beauty at different station within the castle. Definitely worth taking a little break from the lines inside the castle.

The iconic, gorgeous blue/purple castle is still one of my favorite sights - it welcomes you to the place where you can be forever a kid. It's glorious what they do with it during holidays and seasons, but my favorite decor, of course, is at Christmastime..especially at night. *happy sigh*

Still sparkling after 60 years. The focus for all the little princesses with their shop just behind.

The iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle can be seen in all the Disney movies. The castle itself got a makeover a few years ago and still has it's charm. Many couples have proposed under the gates to their happily ever afters. It's a great place to take photos and look at Sleeping Beauty relics.

This is one of the first "wow" items you will find at Disneyland after walking down Main street. Gorgeous and picturesque.. make sure you snap a family photo here! There is a great store underneath as well that young girls will love.. or.. adults *ahem* (me!). Also a great central spot to meet at if your family splits up.

Besides Mickey Mouse, this castle is iconic Disney. It's one of the first things you see upon entry to the park, and is the central location for many activities, including the nighttime fireworks.

A little secret (not so secret, but often overlooked)- If you enter the castle from the front of the park, look to the left (between the shops) and you will see a door to the Sleeping Beauty story. You'll climb some steps as you walk up and through the castle while watching pieces of the Sleeping Beauty tale unfold. There's usually no line and no crowd.

There is nothing more iconic at Disneyland than the castle. It is what all roads at the park lead to and the main thing you notice when you walk down Main Street.
