tandem seating. What they could have and should have done is theme after Cool Runnings. How often do you get a ride themed around bobsleds?! Either way it is still a lot of fun.

I must be getting old because the Matterhorn Bobsleds used to be one of my favorite rides at Disneyland but now they pretty much eat me alive. This ride is rough as all get-out, even the supposed "smoother" side (which is the right; the left is even more jerky with rougher drops). Every time I exit this ride I now feel sick for half an hour afterward and my back and neck hurt for the rest of the day. I think I may soon retire from experiencing this attraction because it's not that much fun for me anymore.

The new bobsleds are cool looking and you no longer have to stuff yourself in one seat to share with a second person (thank goodness), and the ride has had some updates including adding a SWEET Yeti effect. That's the best part of the ride by far and it's worth suffering through a ride just to see it. The ride also affords some gorgeous views of the park after the initial climb.

This is by far the wildest ride in Disneyland park, even though there aren't any loops or major drops. You've been warned!

I rode this once and it was back breaking. Very bumpy ride now and uncomfortable!

Can't afford a chiropractor but can afford a ticket to Disneyland? Well, boy do I have news for you!

Also, I'm sexually attracted to the enhancements to the mountain Disney installed for the 60th anniversary of the park. Thrills and saucy chills.

This is a classic ride (tall enough to be seen from the 5 freeway) with a lot of track. Great theme, fun, thrilling, and great for bigger kids and adults.

We call it the John Candy ride....ahem. The Matterhorn is one of the classics. They've recently renovated it to include a bit more scary abominable snowmen (they still freak me out, at 25 years old) and an edgier track.

Gogotip: Ask for the left track if you want to go faster; families with kids can take the right track for a slower, less intense ride.

This rollercoaster ride takes you in and out of the Matterhorn mountain, through the darkness, then back out into the light while a Yeti looms ahead, waiting to scare unsuspecting riders. The bobsleds are rather uncomfortable, but it's a pretty quick ride, so it's manageable.

This ride does not offer fast passes, so it can sometimes have a very long wait time. At other times, the line is super short, so if the line is over an hour, check back later on.

This has almost always been one of my favorite rides here at Disney. It is very fun to experience with friends and family. It is also one of the most iconic places at Disney.

There are a number of special things involving this ride here at Disney:
*There is a basketball court on the 5th story
*There is a mickey carving near the 2nd yeti
*You can see the guy setting at the main control just inside the beginning of the ride
*The matterhorn is a scale replica of the real matterhorn in Switzerland.

Pro Tip: you dont need no stinking pro tip except to be ready for the camera shot on the way down the slide.

They have made some changes to the seating on this ride which is overall unpopular and I think it sucks that its not able to work the same as it did for couples...

None the less even with its oddities, this is still one of my favorite rides at Disney. Regardless of all the other chit. Hope you all enjoy a ride or two here as well. Perhaps the singles line will help you miss the long waits that are otherwise experienced on this ride...

Love the Matterhorn! The new bobsleds are pretty uncomfortable, but if you can deal with that for a few minutes, you'll enjoy the ride. As mentioned in other reviews, I'm not a huge fan of roller-coasters, but the Matterhorn is BARELY a roller-coaster. The track pulls your bobsled up to the top of the mountain, and then you circle around the perimeter while heading back to the bottom. Definitely a ride I like to go on at night! The view of the park is awesome.
