Many of the artist’s most famous works, including “Sunflowers” and multiple self-portraits are housed in the museum. The museum is exceedingly popular with all visitors to Amsterdam and is without question a can’t-miss attraction.

This is a must for all art lovers! And of course, all visitors to Amsterdam. There’s so much to learn about Van Gogh’s life, and each level takes you through different phases of his life while showing you the evolution of his artistic style. It’s really enjoyable :)

Huge museum of Van Goh’s art and life story. You can learn a lot about his life, friends, and art challenges. Many famous pieces and lesser known works. The museum is a few stories so you could spend a few hours there. Book your ticket ahead of time to avoid lines.

Worth prebooking tickets and going as early as possible to avoid the crowds. Features an amazing amount of Van Gogh's work and has a large souvenir shop

Great museum an absolute must do in Amsterdam. It can get really full during the high season so make sure you plan ahead. I went during spring break and the line went around the block.

This is a beautiful museum and takes you beyond what that average person thinks they know about Van Gogh's life.

Whilst I recommend booking ahead to skip the queues, it's major downfall is how busy it gets. There's no escaping the crowds.

An absolute must see! The big down side? The crowds...Even with the city pass, you still have to wait in line to get a ticket, so keep that in mind when planning this museum in your trip.

What a great place and Friday nights really bring this place to live.

Definitely worth the 17€. Don't know if I'd go again, but there is great history about Van Goh's life. 2.5 hours of a good chill time.

What can I say! Beautiful museum and the gift shop is super friendly and affordable. Two separate side so make sure you go to the correct building. So many floors and his life was so treasured by his brother. Whoa is all I could say when I left.

The Van Gogh museum is full of his beautiful pieces that are displayed over four floors of this building. If you're into museums, art and history, put this stop on your list. If there's a wait to purchase your ticket at the door, don't be discouraged - I was there earlier today (April 2017), and waited less than 20 minutes to get inside.

The collection is much smaller than you'd expect based on the size of the building but this is a must-see. Tickets should definitely be booked in advance online.
