From Narita: All Nippon and Peach fly from terminal 1 South, Delta Airlines fly from terminal 1 North, Japan Airlines fly from terminal 2 and Jetstar Japan fly from terminal 3. All of the terminals have a wide range of places to eat and shop before you board your flight. There are plenty of places to pamper yourself, including a range of spas and an oxygen bar. Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.

From Haneda: Japan Airlines fly from terminal 1, which is sometimes nicknamed 'Big Bird'. All Nippon Airways and StarFlyer fly from terminal 2, which has a six storey shopping mall. Wi-Fi is available in the airport.

Terminal Information – Arriving

At Itami: Options for reaching the city from the airport include monorail, limousine bus, and taxi. Limousine buses usually charge around ¥500-600* (about £3.15-£3.80) for a trip into downtown. Taxis are widely available and you should expect to pay about ¥4700* (just under £30) to Osaka Castle.

At Kansai: Two train lines connect the airport to the city: the JR West Kansai Airport Line and the Nankai Electric Railway. There's also a high-speed ferry, which takes half an hour to reach the city. Tickets cost ¥1,850* (just over £11.50). There are bus stops outside both terminals, and you can purchase  tickets from the vending machines before boarding the bus. There's a taxi rank at the airport, and fares to the centre of Osaka are fixed.

Practical Information

Foreigners need to show their passports on domestic flights for security purposes. Japanese nationals can use other government issued ID such as Juki-cards or driving licenses. Always check your airline's website for a full list of acceptable ID on domestic routes. We recommend arriving at the airport at least one hour before your flight is scheduled to depart.
