Airlines that fly from Singapore to Melbourne

Emirates, Jetstar, Qantas, Scoot and Singapore Airlines all fly direct to Melbourne from Singapore Changi Airport.

Terminal Information – Departing

This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.

Emirates, Jetstar and Qantas all depart from terminal 1, Scoot depart from terminal 2 and Singapore Airlines depart from terminal 3. Singapore Changi Airport has a massive range of facilities. There are excellent shops and places to eat, but there are a few other treats too. Terminal 1 has a swimming pool, a cactus garden, and a water lily garden. Terminal 2 has a sunflower garden, an orchid garden, an enchanted garden and an entertainment deck complete with games consoles. Terminal 3 is the 'green' terminal. It has a cinema, a 12 meter high slide, a koi pond and a butterfly garden. Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport: just scan your passport at an internet terminal to get a password.

Terminal Information – Arriving

All international flights land at terminal 2. The fastest way to reach downtown Melbourne is with a taxi, which you can hail from the rank outside. Private shuttles are also quite quick (and a bit cheaper). The Skybus leaves from terminals 1 and 3 and goes to Southern Cross Station. The journey takes around 20 minutes, with frequent stops at popular hotels. The Greenbus shuttle is another option, but you need to book your ticket in advance. If you're not in a hurry (and want to save money) you can take public transport. Car hire from Melbourne Airport is a great option if you're planning on getting out of the city: The Great Ocean Road is a wonderful road trip.

Practical Information

You need a valid passport to fly from Singapore to Melbourne. You also need a visa to visit Australia if you're a British citizen. You can get an eVisa direct from Australia's Department of Immigration and Border Protection. Be ready to show evidence that you have enough money to support yourself during your stay, even if you're staying with friends and family.

We recommend arriving at the airport at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart. Different airlines have different requirements, so do check their website before planning your journey to the airport.
