Terminal Information – Departing
This is only a guideline. Always check your boarding pass for up-to-date terminal information.
Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific fly from terminal 2. KLM flights depart from terminal 3. Both departure halls have a range of shops and restaurants, although the selection in terminal 3 is quite basic. All of the terminals at Manchester Airport have an Escape Lounge, available to all classes of passenger for a fee. Pre-booking is essential (especially if you're travelling during summer) and it's a good way to add a bit of luxury to your trip.
Terminal Information – Arriving
Bali Airport can be a bit overwhelming, but don't get stressed. Taxis are widely available outside the departure hall. You can haggle with the drivers and try to get a good deal, but the best option is to approach the booth and get a fixed-price car. Most of the accommodation in Bali have their own drivers, and will pick you up from the airport for a fee. This is best arranged with your hotel before you travel. The Trans Sarbagita bus stops at the airport, near the roundabout at the exit. It stops at Terminal Batu Bulan (Gianyar), Tohpati (DPS), Sanur (DPS), Kuta Central Park (Badung), Jimbaran (Badung) and Nusa Dua (Badung). This is a good way to mingle with the locals and get a taste for the island's culture. Alternatively you can hire a car: big agencies such as Europcar and Avis have desks at the airport.
You need a valid passport to fly to Bali from Manchester. You don't need to apply for a visa if you're visiting for 30 days or less. If you're visiting Bali for any reason other than a holiday, for example working or visiting family, you will need a visa. You can either apply for this in advance or pay US $35* (just over £24) on arrival. We recommend arriving at Manchester Airport at least two hours before your flight is scheduled to depart.
